.
With an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 25, the Sync provides consistent hearing protection, which means you'll enjoy a safe amount of attenuation even when you're surrounded by potentially harmful levels of noise.

Quality Sound for Great Entertainment
The Sync has an innovative design that provides both reliable hearing protection and true listening enjoyment. Typical stereo earmuffs deliver a moderate level of hearing protection, but often sacrifice sound quality. In contrast, the Sync gives you balanced sound across frequencies, so you won't need to crank up the volume to fully experience your favorite music. A technologically advanced acoustical bass chamber enhances bass sounds for full, rich sound quality.

Plug in and Go for Easy Operation
The Sync is free of volume knobs, power switches, and batteries. Volume and power are controlled via your personal audio device, so all you have to do is plug in your device and listen.

Cool, Modern Style with Comfort Features
The Sync has a stylish, DJ-inspired design with a padded, diamond-pattern headband and reinforced fork slides with handholds for a comfortable, stays-in-place fit. The headband is also easy to clean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great earmuffs and very good sound! August 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I like to listen to music when I mow my lawn. I have a variety of products to do this with... I own Motorola DJ style Bluetooth Headphones that work great, sound amazing, and function great... but they don't block enough noise. I have a Jabra Clipster Bluetooth set with great sounding earbuds that fit comfortably under my Peltor earmuffs, but they cut out continuosly when any part of my body blocks the signal, which gets annoying really fast. I have the factory iPhone earbuds which have the built in remote, but don't stay in my ears with my Peltor earmuffs on... so those are out. Finally I took a chance on these with a Iluv ipod/iphone remote, which works great. These block nearly as much noise as my Peltors, and with them on and my music going, I can't even hear my string trimmer idle. The mower makes a bit more noise, but you can barely hear that either. The sound quality is plenty good enough for me, considering I'm using them while operating lawn equipment! Having everything integrated in one device means no more tangled ear buds or pulling off the earmuffs and then removing the earbuds to talk to someone, etc. GREAT PRODUCT!

3.0 out of 5 stars Great for blocking office noise, but a little small November 23, 2011
By igen
First impressions: I decided to try these out in an office environment and was impressed with the quality for the price. They would be really comfy if it weren't for the fact that they're a little small all around. I don't have a large head, but they clamp the sides of my head a little tighter than my Peltor President earmuffs. The headband barely extends enough for the earmuffs to fit on my head, putting extra pressure on the top of my head. My head started to hurt after about 10 minutes from all the pressure on the top and sides.

I found that I was able to eliminate or drastically muffle the noise in my office including coworkers' conversations with earplugs along with these earmuffs and no music. If I turned up the volume just enough to get past the earplugs, I couldn't hear any of the normal office noise such as coworker conversations or doors opening and closing.

If you have a smaller head or just need something really cheap and can put up with a little discomfort, the Sync earmuffs combined with earplugs are an awesome solution to eliminating office noise.

Good:
- really cheap compared to other similar products
- decent noise suppression
- decent sound quality
- detachable audio cord

Bad:
- a little tight on the sides of my head
- headband doesn't quite extend far enough, so it puts extra pressure on the top of my head
- doesn't block human voices by itself (good for shooting, but not for office work)
- cord is really short (but can be easily replaced)

5.0 out of 5 stars Best idea ever... June 16, 2011

Whoever thought of intergrating headphones into a pair of earmuffs is a simple genius; though they lack bass, the audio quality is superb. When looking at the dollar for product ratio, these are cheaper than both irreversible hearing loss, and noise-cancelling headphones (which need batteries). Did I mention NO BATTERIES - plug 'n' play, baby.

Now go enjoy hearing EVERY lyric, over your lawnmower/chainsaw/rocketship/forklift/children.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me, but has a major flaw November 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I read the reviews, and decided to try it. When I first plugged in my mp3 player, I heard a crackling of static and I thought "oh no, not one with a blown speaker!" but it worked fine and have never heard the static again. Could be some dirt was on the contacts. I agree about the bass, it doesn't have great bass, it's more like an am/fm radio, but it does have bass, it's not completely missing, just not accented. It seems to have great mid-range, the music is quite clear. I'm not familiar with decibel ratings, but it did say a low to medium noise workplace. Turns out my workplace is a bit higher. It does cut the noise down quite well, but I'd like something with a higher reduction rating for my workplace. You can hear people talking to you if they are reasonable close without having to remove the headset. All in all, I like it, the music is quite clear and doesn't need to be turned up loud to hear it.

Update:
One big problem, the earphone jack keeps falling apart so that you can't plug into it. I returned the first one, got a replacement for it (free, thanks Amazon!), then less than 2 months on the second one the plug came apart and is useless.
Unfortunately, it waited until the return window expired. I only use the earphone jack 1 day a week, and I use the headphones 3 days a week. I expected the first one that went bad as a possible fluke, however since the second one did the exact same thing, it's obviously either a design flaw or cheap construction.

While it held together, it worked well. But if you want to plug something in to listen to while wearing, you will have a
very limited window in which to do it. My first review was 4 stars, but now it's only 2 stars because of the faulty plug.

5.0 out of 5 stars Down right incredible May 26, 2011

I read an article about these in the WSJ. I was skeptical, but thought, hey for the money, it's worth a shot. These, short of a flight attendant getting mad at me for wearing these on take-off, are awesome! I am hearing clips in tracks I have never heard with other earphone. They are big, but for the price and sound quality, it's worth the buy.
