5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product
For the price nothing beats the Howard Leight products for hearing protection. I also bought a pair of the electronic Earmuffs. Again this works very well at a small enclosed range, definitely works! We shot everything while there: .22, 9mm luger, .40, 357 mag, 38 special, .45. Everything was real quite. Very comfortable after shooting for 3 hours.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love The Compact Size!! Noise Reduction Not So Great.
I pretty much knew this as I was buying them, but this was a case where fashion over function got the best of me. I love the compact size of these ears, but at the indoor range, the noise reduction was not great (not poor either). I may have to wear ear plugs with them, but aside from that, they are very comfortable, easily adjustable, and did not hurt my ears or give...

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockin' muffs!, May 8, 2009

These earmuffs are for other purposes, but I used them in my old band. When I put these on, sound was reduced so well. I had my half stack amplifier cranked up to about 7, and it only sounded like it was on 3. I was very pleased with the product, I could hear the drummer more clearly (high pitch frequencies were cut from his cymbals). Once again, I know these are to be used for other purposes but this just seemed like a good idea, and I am quite pleased with them.

These are great earmuffs. They are slim, don't interfere with the shotgun stock and really reduce noise to a tolerable level. Well worth the price.

I pretty much knew this as I was buying them, but this was a case where fashion over function got the best of me. I love the compact size of these ears, but at the indoor range, the noise reduction was not great (not poor either). I may have to wear ear plugs with them, but aside from that, they are very comfortable, easily adjustable, and did not hurt my ears or give me a headache after wearing them for an hour. Great price, and I imagine good for people that prefer a slim earmuff for firing a rifle. I am not dissatisfied with these ears and I will continue to use them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great non-electronic muffs, January 18, 2011

For not being electronic noise-reducing earmuffs, these work very well. The compact form when not in use easily fits just about anywhere in my range bag, or in a coat pocket. Many large earmuffs may restrict your cheek weld placement but these are also compact on your head. I've had friends want to swap earmuffs when shooting certain rifles because their own are too large and get in the way. I've purchased one of these for myself, and another as a gift based on my experiences with it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultra Compact, Super Light Weight Solution to Unwanted Noises, September 2, 2011

The lateral profile of these earmuffs are so sleek they never even come close to interfering with those AR crane stocks that practically hugs your cheek.

When it is folded, it is a mere 3.5" x 3" x 4". Because of that, you leave it in your backpack, then before you know it, you slowly discover how this earmuff can be used in your daily life outside the range:

Noisy housemate who invite 50 people to party until 4AM on the day before my big interview? Put this on, problem solved. Yep, the lateral profile is SO SLEEK I don't even notice it pressing against my pillow. THAT's how thin this thing is.

Want to take 30 minutes on the train to take a nap, but the girl behind you just won't stop forcing her phone conversation to everybody? Rip this thing out, problem solved. Trust me, the instance you pop this on you head, EVERYBODY on the train will look at you, look at each other, nod, and whisper "smart".

Time to use your loud lawn mower? Grass cutter? Sanding machine? Gas engine snow blower? You will thank yourself for getting this earmuff. Every time.

For $17, I acquired complete control of every single unwanted noise wherever I go. Worth the price for sure.

They fit my big nugget, and they look pretty cool. And They fit perfect in the top pocket of my NcStar Tactical Back Pack. I shoot a Glock 22 which is a 40 s&w. It pops pretty loud in the indoor range. And they protect my ears from the bang bang better then the ranges stinky Muffs. Great buy.

I bought these as a thinner, softer and more elegant replacement for the bigger and bulkier L2F model after being disappointed and annoyed over how strongly the L2F pressed on my temples when I had them on. They have a much lighter "squeeze" and sits a lot more comfortably than the L2F - in fact, there's no discomfort at all to mention, they sit just perfect. I use them for target practicing, and they are more than enough capable of dampening the sound of the .22lr ammunition I use for precision shooting. I have not had a chance to test how well they dampen the sound of 9mm ammunition, but I would be surprised if they didn't do a good enough job for that as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light, comfortable and work GREAT!, October 24, 2011

These are fantastic ear muffs for shooting! I can hear conversations pretty well yet when firing my AR it does a great job of cancelling out the noise. I had a pair of surefires and my ears at the end of the matches would be ringing and everyone sounded like a robot; not what I want for hearing longevity. The only problem I have with them is that when I open them up to use again after being folded up the plastic muffs stick together and pull apart. They easily snap back in place but can be bit annoying. I simply place a small piece of cardboard in between them and no problems! Can't beat the quality and the price!!

I purchased these for use while shooting sporting clays and with my AR15. For shotgun, they are plenty, but I was initially concerned that with only a 23NRR that they wouldnt be enough for the AR. So far, they seem just fine though. While shooting the AR outdoors and with a buddy next to me with a .40 pistol, they protected my ears pretty well. Note that this was outdoors, so indoors might be a different situation. They are indeed a slim profile and I only bumped against them a few times, but it didnt effect my cheek weld one bit. Comfort was great, I wore them for about and hour and a half straight and didn't have any discomfort. They fold up nice and compact as well, maybe a tad bigger than a 12ga 25ct box of 3" shells.

I also brought these to work for use indoors in machinery spaces. I found their performance to be a little lacking there, tolerable for short periods, but you could do better for longer durations. Then again these are shooting muffs, so they are a bit out of their niche for that purpose and it shouldnt count against them.
