When our anniversary mantle clock battery corroded & ruined the clock, we studied a lot of mantle clocks to replace it. We were looking for something that would be easy to read, look classy,
and not too showy or obvious. We have a dark wood very deep mantle with brick background. This clock filled the bill and is working fine. It's not too big or too small, but that depends on
the size of your mantle. We like the quality of the wood and the face, and so far, so good.
