The clock is every bit as good as was advertised on Amazon. It's run by an accurate quartz movement with a pendulum that moves about 3 times per second but almost without sound. There are two chimes to choose from and they have both a volume control and a sleep mode that will only "sleep" or go silent for 8 hours, but you can control when the 8 hours begin. You can also opt for no chime if you choose

One note, I read on the product description that the clock was powered by two AA batteries, this is incorrect, the clock needs two C size batteries, no big deal, but if you buy it, you will need the C (alkaline) batteries to make it go.

I had only one worry when I ordered and that was that it might be broken during shipping, however, it was packaged well and there was not a mark or a flaw on the clock. I am happy with my purchase. One thing, I think the manufacturer would be well advised to offer two finishes, one lighter and this one. As it is, the dark finish is all that's offered.

Originally we had a problem with a purchase that came directly from the product company and the seller contacted us to resolve the problem (on a Sunday, no less!). He was very sincere and prompt about getting a replacement, which we received in great condition. I would definitely do business with this seller again. This clock was very cheeseo and very light weight certainly not worth the money that I work so hard to earn. I hope that I have said at least 20 words.
