Product Description

Customer Reviews

It's easy to use, has neat compact size when folded and the screen is good to read.

Here are some issues I found: -The slider switch on both sides to set time/alarm and turning on alarm are confusing and hard to operate.
Tom
Just like the Brookstone travel clock that failed, except this one is much easier to set than the Brookstone clock.

UPDATE
I originally reviewed this product as 5 stars. It's compact and lightweight, easy to use, reads the room temperature and lights up when you press the big button on top. Sure, my iPhone has an alarm in it too, but for travelers this thing is like bringing your bedside table alarm with you. Unfortunately, it has a fatal flaw...

A few times I've woken up late and couldn't figure out what happened. Then, one day, I got up just before the alarm went off and was not able to get to it to shut it off while it was beeping. After less than a minute of beeping, it went silent. Curious, I waited to see if it had self-snoozed. Nope. It just gave up. So that explains how I've managed to sleep through it a few times.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
I had a Radio Shack version of this alarm clock for several years. It was ideal for travel except for one little detail... you had to remove the battery cover to set it. This Howard Miller version has moved the setting controls to the front and the side, so no more losing the tiny battery cover in the folds of a comforter in a hotel when you're ready for sleep.

It has everything you'll need including: a momentary backlit display (push the big snooze button), a loud enough alarm to wake you, an alarm sound pattern that starts assertive and then switches to aggressive if you don't do something, 5 minute snooze function on the big, easy to push button on the top (wish it were 8 minutes), a day and date display, and a temperature display, which is really useful when traveling to decide what to do with the hotel room thermostat. It can display in 24 hr time and Celsius also.

One AAA battery will last a long time with daily use.

If you travel a lot, I highly recommend this clock. I also use it on my bedside table and have abandoned my plug in alarm clocks.

I initially bought this clock to use if the electricity went out. However, I now use it all the time. I like that it takes up so little space on the table and that the clock automatically lights up when the alarm goes off.

It is very easy to set the time, calendar and temperature. If you have trouble with the day matching the date when setting the calendar, click the YEAR button until the correct day appears. I also found using the tip of a pencil worked when setting the temperature to Fahrenheit instead of Celsius.

And it has survived being dropped onto the floor so it is fairly durable. All in all, it is a great little clock that is reasonably priced.

Described as metallic - in reality it's metal colored plastic. Good functionality. But the flip stand pieces seem flimsy, I hope it survives for awhile.

I have used this alarm clock daily for a few months now. Nothing to brag about except it is compact.

Here are some issues I found:
-The slider switch on both sides to set time/alarm and turning on alarm are confusing and hard to operate. Many times, I switched the wrong side to turn off the alarm.
-Once the alarm didn't go off at all although the switch was in proper location. Now I always check the alarm symbol to make sure.
-The snooze button must be pressed right in the middle.
-A few occassion, after pressing the snooze button a many times (too tired to wake up), the alarm stopped completely.
-The LCD (even with night glow) is best viewed from an angle from the top. My alarm clock is located on the headboard and I cannot see the time lying down. This clock is meant to sit on the night table.

Hope this helps

Easy to use, compact, and nice back light to read in dark hotel rooms. I have an earlier version of this clock and this one is much easier to set.

Nothing good to say about this clock. If I'd paid $5 for it I wouldn't bother with a review, but having paid more than $20 I'm so disappointed. Don't waste your money on this one. I've had some decent travel clocks (LL Bean used to make a great one.) This is not one of them.

I've gotten 2 of these, one I keep on central time for when I travel in the midwest. I like the fact that it has thermometer, and is otherwise simple to use and reliable. I never trust the hotel wake up calls or clock radios in the rooms. Very small & easy to pack
