Another classic book from Bruno Gmunder, the world's leader in gay literature. Bel Ami is a Prague-based film company established by George Duroy, who is Slovak. "Bel Ami" means "beautiful friend" in French. Bel Ami specializes in films showing young men in erotic settings. They range from soft to hard core.

In this book Howard Roffman visits the site of a movie being shot by Duroy featuring fifteen young men. He is able to photograph these boys resting, acting, playing in the shower and playing in the normal fashion of young men throwing each other in the pool. The striking point about the book is the relaxed atmosphere generated by these young men in candid pictures that do not look staged at all.

The photographs are professionally made in every aspect, and professionally printed. This is Howard Roffman's eleventh book, all of which have been published by Gruno Gmunder.

This is a luxury coffee table production...though, given the soft core edge, the naked young men at play and in bed...it might not be ever found on a coffee table. Roffman has grown with this book...it is still a fantasy...but one created by the Bel Ami folks rather than Roffman; who is allowed to show us how he sees/dreams this fantasy; he has been captured by the Bel Ami mystique. This is not a bad thing, in fact, all, one can say, then, is THANKS. The whole thing works on an incredibly high level.

This is a gorgeous book! Granted, ther Boys of Bel Ami are gorgeous, and this book does a great job capturing their beauty and charm. I highly recommend it to all gay men, and I doubt that you will be disappointed.

I was a little concerned about the price of this photo-book, but it's well worth the money. This is Roffman's largest book, both in terms of length and heft. It's a "behind the scenes" look at a Bel Ami video shoot, staring at least seven (possibly more) of the Bel Ami models. The photography is incredibly well-done, and the models are absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that the models aren't identified, but fans of Bel Ami will know who they are. This is a fantastic photo-book, and Howard Roffman is the luckiest photographer in the world!

If you're a real fan of the boys of Bel Ami this is the book for you, each photo is more amazing than the other, besides all of them are black and white, which adds extra beauty to them

If you are a fan of Bel Ami or just great photography, you should buy this book. The photos are great without looking staged. The quality of the book itself is also outstanding. I highly recommend it.

Howard Roffman's photographs of the legendary beautiful men than appear in the Bel Ami films are stunning. The book is published in black and white and has over 200 beutiful photographs of perfect young nude men. They focus on the beauty of the natural human form, and thus are not erotic in the sense of gay erotic magazines. These beautiful men are captured at times of play or relaxation or meditation with very careful attention payed to lighting and form. The photographs are often sublime since the male human body in young perfection resonates throughout a gay man's eye, mind, body and soul. You will not be disappointed by this large format book of exceptional beauty.

This book is better than I expected. The men are really beautiful, and the images of them romping and playing is delightful. The one photo of a food spread is a bit confusing? It should have been a two-page centerfold, and believe me, all the men in the book are centerfold worthy. Nicely done. Tasteful and romantic.

Howard Roffman brings the new crop of Bel Ami men to life. All of the men are amazingly beautiful. Lukas shows up for some photos as well. He is in his 30s now and is still as sexy and beautiful as he ever was. Unlike most books of erotic male nudes, The Boys of Bel Ami is both artistic and erotic. Roffman uses shadow, line and form to maximum effect. All the men seem to be friends and enjoy each other's company both in and out of the bedroom. This is a must buy for gay men.
