From Booklist
Blohowiak, author of Lead Your Staff to Think Like Einstein, Create Like da Vinci, and Invent Like Edison (1995), begins here with the assumption that downsizing--by whatever name--is now a fact of organizational life. Rather than argue its faults or merits, he targets those responsible for keeping things going after downsizing has taken place. He notes the problems faced by so-called survivors, those employees that remain with the organization, and he analyzes the various skills a leader must have to motivate these employees to maintain or increase productivity and quality. The need, demonstrates Blohowiak, is for a leader to be an educator, quality assurer, cheerleader, dragon slayer, talent scout, and all-around well-adjusted human being with a sense of humor.
