entertaining as hell. ... This is an obscurity worth seeking out.

Product Description

"How's Your Hand?" is a marriage of unabashedly catchy hooks and studio experimentation, creating fun pop with subtle complexities. Quirky but unindulgent ear candy with attention to detail, the Casper sound runs the gamut from short sharp shocks to luscious orchestrations for rock band, sometimes within the same song.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Messed Up Over Casper, December 14, 2000

This review is from: How's Your Hand? (Audio CD)
... "How's Your Hand" is still a great CD, a blast of crazed pop, studio tomfoolery (CF is a genius both on stage and in the studio), low-fi grunge, even spacey synth music. Influences? Jeez, too many to name--but a partial list would include XTC, the Beatles, old Genesis ..., the Flaming Lips and possibly the Groovies as well, the Beach Boys....Highlights include the power-pop "All Messed Up Over Girls" (if only it were longer), the funky "Reset," the rollicking "Mosey Home". The cover of General Public's "Tenderness" is worth the price of admission by itself. This one will keep you humming, tapping your toes, and scratching your head in bewilderment for a long time. So what if you've never heard of him? It's ... a bargain for a CD this good. So buy it already!
