This is a pretty cool filter. If you spin it around it will totally change the depth of color in the picture. Very happy, you should get a case to protect it.

fits the sony hdr-cx12 fine, but what's to stop something from scratching the filter. would be nice if it came with a cap, or something that could be easily found to be purchased.

haven't had any real world tests yet, but seemed fine.

wish it was black, instead of silver though.

If you go to Hoya's website there is no mention of a 37mm CPL filter AT ALL. 39mm is the smallest they list. Not sure what that means. Makes me wary.
