This review is from: Hoya 77mm RM-72 Infrared Filter (Electronics)
Ordered this 77 mm RM-72 filter (cutoff below 720 nm) to allow me to do digital IR photography without converting my DSLR camera. Most of my lenses have a 77 mm filter diameter, and smaller lens diameters can be easily used with this filter by adding a step-up ring. I recommend using this Hoya filter with an older DSLR camera which has a less rigid hot mirror filter cutting off IR wavelengths in front of the sensor. Necessary exposure times with the filter attached range between 5-20 seconds. The filter is well built and has a good screw-in thread. Highly recommended!

This is a great filter!....from the very beginning, when I first attempted to use this filter, I got wonderful shots!... And, there's nothing difficult about learning how to use it. Simple, simple, simple!.. I have two (2) video/slideshows on youtube showing all the wonderful photos I've taken with this most amazing filter. I just added some music to it, and its a pleasure to watch. Its unfortunate that I can't post the video/slideshow here, but the file is too large. But, if anyones interested in infrared photography, I can highly recommend it!.. |
