Product Description

The Hoya 72mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Haze HD (High Definition Glass Filter is a wise initial investment. It helps protect your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs. This filter, with its hardened glass, has 4x the tensile strength of traditional filters of similar fabrication. This filter is also of great use in today's digital market where sensors are more sensitive to reflected light. Hoya incorporates special coatings that reduce these internal reflections and, thereby, promote a clearer, brighter and sharper image.

It is a very well made UV filter. Worth the extra money to have invested in a hardened filter. Takes great pictures without any distortion, with the Nikon D 7000.

Glad I invested in this one.

Bought this from Gigabargain - Fast delivery, good packaging & original. (Please dont panic looking at a typo in the package - licensed spelled as licesed - It is part of the original packaging and found in all of the HD type filter packages.

Filter is very thin, looks elegant and could not notice a bit of difference in lens performance at all. Filter does its job and offers excellent protection. Repels dust and water great as advertised. Could see UV in action in a sunny day light. A Must have UV filter - Highly recommended.

I have this filter on all my Nikkor lenses. They have taken some hits, and some "emergency" cleaning, and have kept from breaking or scratching. I highly recommend them. Light transmission appears to be fine, too.

I feel more protected than with regular filter. One of my regular protector broke, and parts of the broken glass scratch my lens. I don'nt want this to happen anymore.

This filter is at a higher level than a standard filter. The Multi Layer coating is less reflective and the HD glass is a strong filter. Also the frame is a slim filter so you cannot see a bulky filter at the end of a lens. Great lens protector and happy with the fit and finish.

I bought this before an Africa trip and used it extensively while practicing with my new camera and lens before the trip. Then got to Africa and no UV filter on the lens! I was so pleased with the filter from using it before the trip that I replaced it immediately on my return. You can find cheaper UV filters, but I don't think they are as good for weight and lack of distortion - you get what you pay for.

Best protection for my 50mm f/1.2. Cheapest form of insurance. Avoid the Promaster brand, they just do not compare with Hoya.
