5.0 out of 5 stars Gambler's dream or super way to learn how to play December 11, 2000
By A Customer
Craps has been a mystery to me until I played this game. Now I can join in at the casino and not worry about embarrassing myself, AND I now understand what the odds are! The graphics are terriffic, some of the best I've seen on the Gameboy. It isn't boring like some of the gambling games, there are many variations on even things like Slot Machines and Video Poker. Buy this for someone who loves to gamble and save them a fortune!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great casino on the go! January 3, 2001
Sierra's Hoyle series is a real treat on the PC and now I can enjoy these casino games on the road too! Clean graphics, fast play (adjustable), a consistent interface, several options, and decent sound effects (but no music) make this an excellent choice for GameBoy. Practice mode also helps you improve through in-game strategy tips. Great for adults too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Gameboy Casino game packs April 8, 2001
By CMC
I bought this as a replacement for Vegas Games for GBC. The characters from the Hoyle Card, Board and (a couple) Word Games are here. The dealer's voice is a little hard to hear but good. You can select to play alone or have up to 3 other computer players. No annoying music like in Vegas Games for GBC and you KNOW whether you won or lost. The only better Casino game is Hoyle Casino for PC or Mac (I love it now, contrary to my prior review). It has Blackjack, 4 types of Slots, 4 types of Video Poker, 7 variations of Poker, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette and Craps. Has a great help system, recommended plays and strategies during play. colorful and fun! If you need a travel/portable casino experience get Amazon's Hoyle Casino for Gameboy color

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good portable Casino game February 14, 2004
By A Customer
Gameboy advance is the only portable I've ever used. I do not expect the hardware nor the programs to run as good as an expensive P.C. I found this game to be fun. The GAME graphics are quite clear, especially considering they are for game boy Color. Craps and Roulette move along, and betting is not a problem. Sure, it's not like moving your mouse around and dropping a chip, but easy enough non the less. Blackjack, Poker and Paigow are nicely done. Video poker has four machines to chose from, and I found the play to be realistic. There are several slot machines to choose from. These are not direct copies of real slot machines. They are pleasant to play, but it really seems like they pay out much less than in a casino. I don't play a lot of slots when I gamble anyway, and this just makes it more boring for me. It saves multiple games with no need for passwords. The drawback I found is the menus. You have to really be in good light to read them. Very dark screen makes it tough. As I said, the game itself has better screens, and normal lightning is sufficient once you're over the menus. After using the game a couple of times, you won't need to look at the menu much though. This game has been out of print for some time, but it's still easy to get a used copy here or at an auction. I bought Cesars palace advance before this one, and I'll never play it again now that I have this Hoyle game.
