We have had this for a little over one year and it is really handy and works great. Our first one is on the deck and we get great coverage with the 65 foot hose. It pulls out and retracts as it should and the mounting is very easy. My only complaint is that it has a proprietary fitting so you have to use the Hozelock adapter to screw on your own quick disconnect or nozzle. It is not a major hassle but it would be much easier if it had a standard US Hose fitting. Of course it is made in the UK and does come with a nozzle of it's own. I bought an extra mounting hanger but the original is doing fine. In the fall it is a snap to carry the whole thing into the cellar so it doesn't freeze. We like it enough we are buying two more.

This is my SECOND hozelock hose reel! I have used other water and battery powered hose reel before, but they just didn't perform. I like they way the hose stops when pulled out, so you don't have to fit to keep the hose out. Reels back fast! Highly recommended purchase for any small yard/garden!

this is a totally effortless reeling system. i'd give it an A+. no leaking problems-and swings 180 degrees out of the way, really nice.

After purchasing numerous types and makes of hose reels, this is the best one by far. The self-winding and the pivoting wall mount are the two items I put at the top of the list of many features not found on most of the units out there. It is a well-made, very strong piece of hardware. The self-winding 65-foot hose is very easy to reel out, and with a quick tug, the unit winds it self up. It comes with a full set of quick couplers to attach sprinklers and spray nozzles. It also comes with an excellent adjustable spray nozzle. This is definitely a five star item.

I bought one of these hoses 4 years ago at Costco. It works great. I even left it out over the winter in Chicago and it functioned great. Easy to use, well worth the extra few bucks. nice and neat!

I do love the Hozelock, I just wish it had been made with a larger diameter hose. The hose is thinner than a regular garden hose, making the water come out slower. That increases watering time, and filling a kiddie pool takes much longer. Other than that, it works great. I've had mine for 5 years and no problems.

we love this product. we purchased one at a store near us and then couldn't find a second one for another part of our yard. all stores in our area stopped carrying them. finally i found one on amazon.com and we received it very quickly. we're very happy with it. thanks

I was tired of having to roll up my hoses. This one retracts automatically. Other than the hose itself having a smaller diameter, I have nothing but praise for this item.

The 2490 was very easy to install on our old barn. It is very convenient for caring for animals' watering needs and quick stow-away storage. I only wish I had bought a larger diameter hose.
