Thought I was getting a good deal but I got cheap junk. When I tried to put it into the printer half of the black toner came out the side of the cartridge leaving me a messy pile of black dust. Total garbage. I should have saved my money. Just glad it didn't ruin my printer.

This cartridge worked great the first hundred sheets I put through it. I don't do a lot of printing, I probably only used it once or twice a month. After less than a year of use, it started making this horrible, loud grinding noise and I started getting horizontal bands in my prints. Turns out the gears that connect the toner drum to the print drum were not meshing tightly and that's what was making the horrible noise. I could find no way to fix it, so the cartridge is pretty near useless. Guess you get what you pay for. I bought mine from Databazaar, but I don't know if the manufacturer differs from seller to seller. Verbatim makes this toner and you can get it for about $10 more. No reviews here on Amazon, but as Verbatim is a reputable company, I think I'll try that one out next. Oh, and they have a limited lifetime warranty on their's. :)

bought this from eforcity, it was cheaper than all other stores. plus i've done around 6000 pages with it already and it is still going.

Works the same but haven't had long enough to tell if it will last as long as the factory toner. Only downfall is it smudges when printed on a heavier paper stock. Otherwise, this is a great deal.

I've been using the obsolete HP 2300 in my office for years, but I can't bring myself to get rid of it--it's too reliable and perfect for our needs. So it's important to be able to find replacement toner at a REASONABLE price. Nothing sexy about these cartridges, but they have done exactly what we needed: produced clean, dark print for a good long while. I'd buy these again.

I bought this item in March of 2010. 15 months and 5,800 pages later, it finally started running out. Amazing!

Very disappointed with the print quality of the cartridge. I have to manually clean it every 50-60 pages when printing in duplex mode, every 100-110 in regular mode. Next time I will pay the HP premium ...

This is an item I have put on my shelf when my current cartridge runs out, so I cannot really comment on the product. Assuming it is what it is advertised to be, it will be perfect. This item was $135 at Office Depot. I paid $66 from my local HP vendor. So $29 plus free shipping was like the best deal of the day!

If you need to print quality, this is not a case. This toner cartridge works and I am OK with this because the price is right and the quality is not the first thing for most of what I printed out.

The price is a good one. the toner cartridge arrived as expected, definitely going to buy my next one here too.
