This is basically 2 in 1 wireless router device. To me it delivers what it has promised.
Pros:
plugin and in few seconds internet is streamed wirelessly.
Fast secure connection.
wifi settings can be configured over air.

Cons:
Though it is plugged to computer ,it still uses wifi and not direct usb connections.
Though the wireless coverage is good, speed decreases with distance. It is nature of routers ,so no complaint.

Overall a good device and recommended.

Update 3/25/2013
Its still working strong. I have left this device in ON mode continuously for past 3 months and i don't have any issue in accessing it. I needed my computer to be hooked up to internet so that i can remote this computer from usa. This computer is in INDIA. I setup my computer such that after power failure , the wifi, remote software, webcam and other programs run after restart. I use this computer as a webcam to monitor my home to watch over DAD and servants as my DAD is sick . Recently the prepaid amount on this device Sim was over and i couldn't remote login to this computer any more. I simply refilled the SIM online and the internet started working. I was able to remote login again.
Its a nice device and performs well.

I just received the device here in Afghanistan about 8 days after ordering it and began using it right away. I looked at several different models and decided to get this one based on the description which states that it can be charged via USB. This is NOT the case since it appears that the device does not contain a battery. It must remain connected to a USB port on a computer, or a plugged in USB charger, or a USB battery pack.

I initially configured the device through the web interface on a Macintosh after having popped in a SIM card that I had already added data access to on a phone. The set up could not have been easier as I went through the menus to customize the APN settings for my carrier and then the Wi-Fi security settings. It connected to the cellular network in a matter of seconds and my computer was online right away. Unlike what one of the other reviewers said, I did not have to connect via Wi-Fi - The computer that it is plugged into does have Internet connectivity via the USB connection leaving the five Wi-Fi connections available.

After the initial set-up, I moved the stick to a wall charger with a USB port, actually it was the small white brick from my iPad, and it worked flawlessly. It connected to the cellular network in about 15 seconds and I was able to connect to it via Wi-Fi with zero problems. I connected to it using two different Macs, a Windows 7 laptop, an iPad, and an Android phone. All worked flawlessly.

Finally, took it to my office which is inside a metal shipping container (remember where I said I am located) which has just a few "sweet spots" to pick up cellular signals. I plugged it into a Zagg Sparq 2 USB battery pack.

I am completely satisfied of this GSM 3G 4G Mobile Modem and WiFi Hotspot Router.

It supports data connectivity by GSM 3G 4G standards at a great data transfer rate.
It is a WiFi Hotspot Router supporting all the necessary router functionality.
It supports up to 5 WiFi devices (computers, tablets, smart phones, printers, and others)
plus the computer connected via the USB port.
This device also could be connected to a separate stand-alone USB power supply 5V 1A, and performs perfectly.
All the above is available in a very compact size and stylish design.

I have tested all the above. I use the devise actively with all the functionality described above.

It is perfect for Small Office / Home Office (SOHO). And it is mobile.

I appreciate the idea to develop such compact device with wide functionality.

This device works as advertised. One confusing bit in the description is that it has a USB port; that port is only used to supply electricity to the device -- communication with the device is via WiFi. It's essentially a hub or router that, instead of being connected to the internet by a cable, is connected to the internet via a telephone data service. We set it up using Windows 8, so it definitely works with that system -- though of course once it's set up it will work with any system capable of WiFi communications.

We live on a cruising sailboat, far from any internet cable. With the E355 we can connect our cellphones, laptops and digital pads to the internet through one telephone data service, anywhere in the world. We've used it so far in the US, Panama, Nicaragua and El Salvador with four different service providers and it worked in each place, the first time with no hassle.

easy install in PC through usb
uses large sim cards
designed for use in far east gsm frequency for better performance
Works as a wifi device.....as a mini Mifi......
I tried with a Tmo carrier subsidy .......the speed was painfully slooooowwww......
Not sure if its a great device for the US market.....
I rather use my unlocked Nexus phone and get better speeds for up to 5 people.....
Might be a good device for professionals traveling to the East in need of wifi.....
