I installed this in a hallway in a home and it looks nice and emits enough light to light up the three bedrooms when the doors are open to the hallway. This is exactly what was needed.

I agree with Bud on his five start rating of this product. It does what it's supposed to do in an outage, provides instant light allowing one to move around without stumbling on furniture, counters, etc. This light is a must where electrical outages are common, as well as for the elderly and family with children. I recommend it.I didn't mount it to the wall or hardwired it, but placed on top of the kitchen cabinet and spliced a two-prone extension cord to the light's wires and plugged it to the electrical outlet where the kitchen exhaust fan plugs into. The kitchen cabinet has a one inch recessed on top, so I simply placed a one inch piece of wood on top of the cabinet and then placed the light on top of the piece of wood. The piece of wood remains hidden when looking at it from the floor and provides a good base for the light. |
