5.0 out of 5 stars Hubble Bubble Review, December 28, 2004
This review is from: Hubble Bubble (Hardcover)
Great book about a retired bank worker who finds a book of spells. She tries them out and they work. She then carries on making spells and it causes havoc in her village. Full of humour this book is a great read for people who just want some fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Magic In Food.., March 2, 2010

I really enjoyed this book. I always enjoy a bit of magic in my books and this has plenty. Romance and an old recipe book, great story, great characters... not too sweet, just right. I often think of this book and in a way it inspired me.. One of the characters helps out at a local animal charity shop...I was really pulled into this book..I had never volunteered before and this book inspired me too..I now work at a charity shop! So I reccomend this book....See if the characters inspire you.

As one of the thousands in this country that share the last name Hubbell and were teased growing up hearing people say "here comes hubble bubble, double trouble" I was curious to see what they would do with a book by that title. I was very happy with the results. I thought the author did a very good job and had to laugh at needing a disclaimer for the recipes. If you want a book that is good fun, get this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars If I had a wish...., August 7, 2011
Loved it! It's the first book in the mad village series and it's a wonderful read. I am very tempted to try some of the recipes given in the book! I also like how the main protagonist is not your average heroine. She's 55! And I also liked how the magical element was nice and believable. I am looking forward to reading more by Christina Jones!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sparkling fun, December 18, 2010
I love Christina Jones novels and this was another fun read. A page turning romp with likeable characters and romances between all generations with a touch of magic thrown in. Love the English village life.
