After I borrowed this DVD from our local library, I knew that I must own it. It provides a world-class classical experience--on demand--for less than the cost of a concert ticket.

The Four Seasons especially was beautifully rendered. Another exceptional rendering was the Brandenburg concerto. Here is a clip from it:

The timeless beauty of the renderings defies description.

I do not hesitate to recommend this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars A feast of masters, November 29, 2008
This review is from: The Huberman Festival / Pinchas Zuckerman, Isaac Stern, Itzhak Perlman, Zubin Mehta, Israel Philharmonic (DVD)
Yes, the sound equipment is dated. And yes, some of the color is out of balance. But if you can sit through this double disc without vibrating in your heart, your breath coming only when you remember to exhale...you are missing the point. This is an extraordinary privilege to see at such close range, the fingering of true masters of their instruments. I am sure there is better sound quality on later discs. I am sure individual performances may rise above this level. But you know what? I don't care. This double disc is a privilege to own.

An Awesome DVD you got to own for a violin lover! Most DVD I have collected for famous Violin players are black and white. Finally there is a great one with color. Almost all the famouse players in recent years are in this DVD. You got to have it!
