I followed the instructions--make sure the inner straw is attached, fill up the container with the liquid you need to spray, screw on the lid & attach it to the hose. While water certainly comes out of it when in use, the container itself is still completely full of liquid that is the exact same color as when I started! It either is bypassing the concentrated liquid and only spraying water, or...?

Another JUNK garden sprayer. Does NOT work at all. I don't know what is with these different companies putting out these hose ended sprayers and none of them actually work. I had the Scott's brand one and that one did NOT work either. So I tried this one. Same thing. JUNK!!!! Stay away. I can't seem to find one that actually works.

I bought this item to use liquid aerator inside of it to aerate my lawn. The first thing that got me was the lack of English instructions included with the product. French of Spanish were included but I thought that was odd. Then I assembled the product, poured the liquid aerator inside, set the dial and began to spray. But only water came out. I tried a few more times which ended up wetting half my lawn and the liquid aerator remained at the same level. I called Hudson, the manufacturer, and spoke with a customer service representative and she said that there was something wrong with the product and the return it. I was disappointed because I figured since with was a middle of the road hose sprayer in terms of cost I thought that it would be adequate, I was wrong. I would not recommend this product. I will search for another sprayer I am determined to aerate my poor brick like soil.

As the other reviewers noted, this sprayer does not work at all. I have never used a hose-end sprayer prior to purchasing the Hudson sprayer, so I am not familiar with how it works. I sprayed with a dry plant fertilizer for two hours and finally realized only water was going through. The cup DID NOT FILL UP. I am returning it tomorrow and will look for another brand.

Same as others who posted, I followed the directions, put dry fertilizer in the cup and only water sprayed out of this contraption. I then tried liquid fertilizer, inserted the small siphon tube and got the same result, only water came out. Do not buy this junk.

Did not distribute concentrate solution dry or liquid. I began suspecting it wasn't working as the concentrate solution never went down. (i had a different brand that did work several years ago and it is supposed to drain to empty). I put a mark on the jar and let it run -- it never went down. Read directions multiple times. Simply did not work.

Like other critics here, the liquid that I placed in the bottle was not sucked into the spray. I sensed something was wrong. I was using a smelly fungicide, and I could not smell it in the spray. The bottle never emptied even though I sprayed for about 45 minutes. I had an Ortho sprayer a few years ago that broke. I liked it alot, but I can not find it in stores now. But avoid this one. Even at the upscale price, it's not worth a dime.

I concur with all the reviews I've read here. Water comes out, but it does not mix with solution. I have $20 worth of seaweed fertilizer stuck in the carafe. I called the consumer hotline and they were not prepared to explain proper use, but they did say they have had many similar complaints. They are sending me out another model free of charge.
