I simply state the facts of the product with a dose of opinion (and a bit of humor!). Sometimes I get negative votes from bashers! When every review is positive, makes you wonder how honest they really are?? Here goes with the review.... Leave it to Hudson to issue this little gem.......... I searched high & low for a SMALL portable sprayer-so here it is!!! I bought the unit for simply spraying water onto a face cloth when mowing lawns (to wipe my face). Sort of like a "mister" for personal cooling. Before purchasing this item, I went to Hudson's site to see some pics of this unit close up, but was not able to find any detailed pics anywhere on the web. The COMPONENTS: Heavy duty canvas cover with webbed waist belt, PVC buckles that adjust to most waist sizes. Powered spray gun with coiled hose (integral pump in head)unit, with adjustable nozzle. Belt clip for storage of the spray gun. The PROS- A unique, miniature portable sprayer. Low initial cost $$$$$$ Great for spraying water and mild solutions. High quality solution tank. Wide mouth opening. Secure screw top filler lid -durable! Excellent canvas cover, tight fitting (to the solution tank) Secure PVC belt buckle & webbed waist belt. Sprayer head belt clip included. The CONS The sprayer head unit contains the fluid pump & batteries. Battery cover is part of the hand grip & slides over the batteries to contain them however, cover does not stay tight & eventually needs to be taped or zip-tied to secure Feed hose from solution tank to sprayer head unit is heat coiled (for spring retraction) and so it does not simply fall to the floor if dropped, however coiled hose is restrictive in reach for "normal" (or longer) length arms. Attachment of the feed hose, to solution is a flimsy snap-on fitting. Although no-leak attachment is attained at first, repeated attachment/removal cycles weaken the fitting, and cause it to leak. The included belt clip (for the sprayer head) is incredibly flimsy!! Broke upon the first use (and I have a very light touch)- May as well, been made from paper!! SUMMERY This is a VERY LIGHT DUTY unit (like, for spraying water onto washcloths). I don't recommend using any solution other than water, light soaps, dishwashing detergent, pet shampoos, or the like. Any sustained rough handling will certainly damage the sprayer head and/or hose fitting to tank. I know this seems like a lot of complaints for a $29.99 item, HOWEVER This little sprayer is so bloody handy, so much a needed tool for many tasks. I would welcome a higher price for upgraded quality of this unit! Therefore, I am rating this unit 4 stars, simply because Hudson realized a necessity, and created a product to fill it. PLEASE buy it from AMAZON-for a secure purchase !!!

Don't try spraying anything with a viscosity greater than water. It just can't muster the force to get it out.

Beats having to constantly pump your weedsprayer! The pump lacks power but will do the job.

Hudson 62518 NeverPump Porta-Pak Fanny Pack Battery Operated SprayerThis is a good unit. It works, The design, however, is flawed. The tube does not nattach to the tank as firmly as it should; therefore the tube is likely to fall out of the tank. This has happened several times since I started to use the unit about a month ago. |
