4.0 out of 5 stars unique sprayer, March 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchase this sprayer to spray my roof with a mold/mildew cleaner. I needed something that would get the distance from the ground. It delivered a powerful stream about 25 to 35 feet. I am satisfied with its performance and recommended it for such applications. I was afraid that it may be difficult/tiring to use but that wasn't the case. It delivers a constant stream on the upstroke as well as the downstroke.

4.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLE SPRAYER, WELL BUILT, June 22, 2009
This spayer is simplicity itself. It very much does reach up 25' as advertized. By climbing up a ladder one can extend the reach further, but the risk of dumping your pail becomes much greater.

The only caution is that one should wear rubber gloves and a dust mask when using the sprayer. Also beware of stepping in, or kicking over the bucket you use to mix up whatever product you are spaying; since your focus will tend to be on what you're spraying, this mistake is very easy to make.

There are a couple of accessories I wish they would offer: The first would be three and six foot extension tubes; these would allow one to spray higher and also to spray without having to get as close to the bushes or trees being sprayed. Having insecticide and fungicide dripping on you gets old.

The second option I would like to see, is a special covered, stable bucket to hold the product when spraying. With a secure lid that has a hole for the hose; and secures the hose to the bucket so that it cannot pull out. An open bucket is not only easy to tip over, but it attracts small debris endlessly; this debris often can interfer with and plug up the sprayer.

Overall I recomend this sprayer. The quality is high and it is easy to use. Always wash it out and drain it after every use.

1.0 out of 5 stars not a happy gardener, January 21, 2009
This review is from: Hudson Trombone Sprayer - 150 PSI, Model# 61224 (Electronics)
I bought a 61224 sprayer from A G Lock and Hardware, Brooklyn, NY, in Feb., 08. I used it once on 6 large and 4 small fruit trees and cleaned it with warm water and Dreft (that my garden supplier recommends.) In a month, I tried to use it again and found no pressure.
My husband took it apart, wiped it down and replaced the gaskets in every combination possible (directions with sprayer not clear), but to no avail. I used a cheaper model from a local store the remainder of the season.
In Jan., 09, I called A G Lock and Hardware to inquire about a replacement kit that their info with the sprayer said they had. They did not have this. They would not take this sprayer back because of the 30-day limit. They also said that they could not give me a number where I could order the replacement kit.
I consider this poor service. I'll not do business with this store again. If you do order one of these, make sure that you use it more than once before the 30-day limit stops.
