Santa got this bike for my 3 1/2 year old for Christmas. It is so cute, the graphics are true to the picture, it's exactly what I had in mind! Easy to put together and both of my boys have enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

We first bought the Cars bike and had similar problems as other reviewers (the brake system was so hard!!) but we took it back and got this one.. SO EASY TO ASSEMBLE! seriously, less than 10 minutes. It's good looking, quality materials.. it'll def carry my 5 year old through many years.

We picked up the Huffy Pro Thunder 20-inch on a special deal that made it between $60-70. The boy is six, just out grown the old training wheels bike (the training wheels he removed himself by the way). Fits him just fine, I think the seat is all the way down, and his feet are nearly flat when on it. So I'm sure it fits older kids just fine with the seat adjusted higher. Here's what I've noticed about the bike:

Mailed unassembled, no damage when it got here, the box had some wear on it, but no punctures-no damage to the bike. (came while I was at work, it was opened and put together by the time I got home. So that was a after the fact examination.) (Also, make sure bolts are tight and secure-his mom used a pair of plyers on one size nut and those came loose later-but after using the right tools we haven't seen any problems)

There's a pad on the handle bar, held together by velco sleeve over it. It was gone in a week. He took off the sleeve for some reason, and lost them both before he made it back to the house.

The chain kept falling off the day he and his mom put it together-while I was at work. All I needed to do was loosen the bolts that held the rear axle/tire, slide it to the rear to tighten the chain and tighten down the bolts again. The problem hasn't returned.

One day he was riding down some side walk steps, over and over. The front tire went flat, I figured it was of cheaper quality and just needed to be replaced for a few bucks at the store. But I never found a hole to patch (the old hold under water and look for bubbles trick), and when I put air back in it, it was good as new. So who knows.

So, yeah its not aluminum/super light. But he's riding it around the neighborhood, and on simnple bike trails. He loves it, he's on it all the time and as rough as he is on things nothing's broke in 3 full months--so we'll see how long that continues. In a few years he'll have the dexterity to change gears and need something rougher to ride the mountain bike trails the rest of us ride, so I really don't see spending more now.

I bought two of these bikes for my two kids and we love them! they are very sturdy and well made. It was very easy to assemble them and adjust. We use them a lot at the park and they kids get a good workout. I highly recommend this bike.

My grandson is 4 yrs old and loves this bike. It was easy to put together and it came well packaged to avoid any chipping or scratching on the paint.

I bought this bike for my 5 year old for Christmas since he outgrew his 12" bike. I was mostly shoked at how easy the assembly was. I am handy and have put a few bikes together, so I had an advantage, but the bike came mostly assembled in the box. The only things to do were to put on the seat, handle bars, fron wheel, and pedals. I was very happy that I did not have to mess with the chain or back wheel. After a quick tire inflation we were done putting the bike together in about 10 minutes.

The colors are sharp and attractive. This bike does the trick for small children as their first or second bike. My son rode it for about an hour on Christmas day and several times since.

Who would have thought that this little bike with the weirdly up-tilted seat (it would have been 5 stars if the seat wasn't strange) would get us through 2 boys learning to ride (the huge 7 year old still prefers this one for bmx tricks), and a neighborhood of boys who prefer this bike to ride rather than our Marin Mountain Bike 16 inch or 4 other types of 12-16 inch bikes. 2 of my friends kids even borrowed this bike to transition to learning to ride a bike. Our kids used balance bikes first, and then around 4 years of age went to this bike and then quickly on to 16 inches too. No training wheels in this family. None of the kids have complained about the seat and actually prefer it to the larger seat on our Diamondback 12 inch bike.

Get this bike!

Ordered two and they both came in with the boxes trashed, and the bikes damaged. Amazon replaced them and those two also came in trashed and damaged. Fedex clearly has a problem delivering bikes.

Buyer beware. I ordered 4 of these bicycles for a toy drive in my office. 3 of the 4 came damaged in shipping with identical damage. The rear wheel had been smashed and bent badly, making the bike unridable. There appears to be a systemic problem with the packaging of this product.
