4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but heavy., February 28, 2008
This review is from: Huffy B-One Men's 26-Inch Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike (Sports)
As i have stated on other reveiws. I am a student in mexico (hey, note, this is totally off-subjet, but if any is thinking that college is too expensive they should try mexico. I was going to college near where I went ot highschool in oklahoma, it was convinient and I could go home on the weekends. but, it was around $15,000 a sememster, you would say, hey, that isn't that much, indeed it isnt. But a semester here in mexico its only like $4,000 dollars including room and board (and food in mexico is great!). and most universities in mexico colaborate with universities abroad, both US and europe, so degrees here as just as good. ok, this was totally useless but hey, back to the bike) It is a very good lookin, sturdy bike, but slightly heavy. I had a few problems mainly derived from the shipping, one if them was that the front rim was bent with the shipping, not too much, in fact, the bike is still usable, but that made adjusting the front disk brake impossible. No problem, a bike shop can straingthen your rims in less than 10 min and then, with a little fine tunning you will have a good bike. I only needed a bike to get me from A to B across campus and this bike does the job quite great! it comes mostly pre-asembled so asembling is a breeze, and once you're finish you can take it to the bike shop to be fine-tuned (it will save you money, since assembly is easy and it wont require as long for them to do it) Note on the instruction manual. It was mostly in chinese, but, there was a section in english that went through the steps of assemble down to every single screw. When I saw it I almost fainted, but then, I looked and saw that the bike was mostly assembled, then I used my intuition and in less than 20 minutes it was ready. the only thing I looked at the manual to do were the disk brakes, which weren't that dificult.
so, all in all a great bike, and it makes it better when you look at the price $$$$
