Purchased for an 8 year old beginner bike rider. Assembly was not hard . Bike is very heavy , strong and solid feeling. The fancy brake coupling used above front wheel to allow bar spins without twisting brake cables works, but it loses much energy in transfer. Consequently, brakes are soft, mushy , not easy to lock up for me an adult and especially for a smaller , smaller handed 8 yr old. The pegs are nice , son likes it fine.
If you don't mind a heavy bike with soft brakes, this one will last.
