Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Huffy Marengo Men's Comfort Bike (Sports)
I bought this bike in addition to the ladies version which I had to return to Amazon due to a warped rear wheel (see my review for Huffy Marengo 26" Women's Bike).

This men's version also had a warped wheel (front this time) but it was fairly minor so I decided to keep it rather than do another return. The same comments I made for the ladies bike pretty much apply here - this bike should retail for way less than $100. The manufacturing quality just can't command $120 in my view.

Both Huffy Marengo bikes I purchased had warped wheels and front/back play on the handle bars even though bolts were tight in all cases. In addition, this bike has a tendency for the chain to come off when switching from second to first gear.

I have bought quite a few recreational bikes recently and hands down Huffies are the worst of the bunch. Royce Union and Dynacraft/Magna (with Shimano gears) are much better quality (and value) in my opinion.

So, don't spend your money on this bike - there are much better deals out there.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huffy Marengo Men's 26-Inch Comfort Bike, May 11, 2006

I totally agree with the prior Reviewer...This bike is way over priced...My handlebar also has front and back motion even though it too has been tightened down...In addition I am only able to access 2 of the 7 gears (1 and 2)...nothing happens when I try to shift into any of the other 5...these were factory set and not a part of the so called easy set-up...

In addition, even though I've only owned this bike for several weeks the seat is beginning to come apart...

Consequenly, my $130 investment is now going to cost me another $50 in "Bike Shop" repair...

My advice is to eliminate this product from your search list...
