5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves it !!!
This is my 5 year old son favorite thing to ride. Its also a big hit in the neighborhood. This is the one thing that my son do not want to share. Its an absolute favorite and I would highly recommend it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Upgrade necessary
This is a GREAT concept, but poor execution in producing, probably because of pricing pressures. My Grandson loves it, but I worry about its' durability(drive system) and safety(brakes). But, what a vehicle this could be. Pneumatic tires on the rear and a decent braking system would make this a real winner. Unfortunately, at this point I have not been able to adjust...

But, what a vehicle this could be. Pneumatic tires on the rear and a decent braking system would make this a real winner. Unfortunately, at this point I have not been able to adjust the brakes, which are hand operated-rear axle accuated, so that they will work.....at all.

This bike was absolute junk. It took 2 college grads about 2 hours to put it together, since the instruction book was very poor. The bike was very POOR quality & flimsy. The chain fell off almost immediately b/c the back gear was bent. The brakes would not work properly. Just very poor quality. Fortunately, our local Toys R Us store honored it as a return & we were able to exchange it for something else. Do not waste your time or energy! We had a very disappointed little boy before we made the exchange.

5.0 out of 5 stars Huffy Street Heat, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Huffy Street Heat Rear Drive Tri-Wheel (Toy)
My child enjoys his tri more than his cousins bike. In my opinion it is safer because he does not risk falling off like a bike. It is durable simply because his eleven year old cousin has gotten on it and it takes hiw weight. The lengh on it will make it a fun item for him for many years.

REGARDING THE TRANSACTION~IT WAS GREAT. THIS REQUIRES A LOT OF ASSEMBLY, AND TOOLS. THE DIRECTIONS ARE USELESS! IT TOOK AN AUTO MECHANIC FRIEND OF MINE TO ASSEMBLE IT!
ONCE COMPLETED HOWEVER, WE MUST TELL YOU THAT THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT! IT'S WELL MADE, AND IT WILL WITHSTAND THE INEVIDABLE ABUSE FROM A SIX YEAR OLD...

4.0 out of 5 stars A 4 year olds dream machine!, January 2, 2007
This review is from: Huffy Street Heat Rear Drive Tri-Wheel (Toy)
We just purchased this for Christmas for my 4 year old son. I am not sure what the other review was about when they said this was hard to put together... My 10 year old son had it mostly put together by himself within 20 minutes, 10 minutes later he had my husband had it ready to roll! I am impressed with the quality of this bike, and my son LOVES it! We could not have done better! The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, is because I am not impressed at all with the stickers on the bike. I think we will be taking them off and leaving it plain or adding our own. Overall, if your kid is motorcycle crazy or just likes fun, cool things, this bike is great!

I received this order and thank goodness, we opened it early to set it up before Christmas. Well, in doing so it looked as though it had been returned to the seller and they just reshipped it out. Missing parts, packed in a mess with openings in the box, instructions missing and decals were used and put back on the sticker. Toy's R us let us return it for another but what a hassle and we were lucky that they still had 2 left (it was advertised 30$ cheaper in their ad as well) and they honored the difference in the price. They made a bad situation come out okay. Amazon, I'm disappointed this time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great toy!, April 11, 2007
This review is from: Huffy Street Heat Rear Drive Tri-Wheel (Toy)
This is a wonderful toy! My 4 1/2 year old son has a genetic disorder which causes him to have lower muscle tone than most kids so he wasn't quite strong enough to ride his bike with training wheels. This Huffy Street Heat is easy for him to pedal and he begs to go outside to ride it all the time! He is now able to get much needed exercise while having a great time! This bike is the answer to our prayers!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Purchased for our two boys, March 23, 2007
This review is from: Huffy Street Heat Rear Drive Tri-Wheel (Toy)
The instructions and hardware were adequate. My husband and I purchased these in the dead of winter (we're in IL & had a bleak Christmas) for our boys. When the boys went to bed we put them together then hid them in the garage until this last week - late March. The stickers are pealing off and kind of cheesy, as if someone who didn't care much just slapped them on. They (huffy) should just leave the stickers in the box for the parents/grandparents and/or children to place on their own tri-wheel. Unfortunately, our six-year-old is already too tall for the tri-wheel, and we ended up going to wal-mart for a bicycle with training wheels anyway - cost a whopping $26.00! :) The training wheels were almost more expensive than the bike! My rating is a 3 star because for the price it's nothing special. Our two-year-old cannot quite reach the pedals, and we purchased a tricycle (same wal-mart as our 6-year-old's bicycle, same day!) for approximately $19. He does love the tri-wheel, but became very upset when he couldn't reach the pedals. For those looking at this product, our 6-year-old is 4 and half feet tall, so don't purchase this if your little one is 4 feet or taller, and our little one is 2 and half feet tall, so he's a bit short. So this is probably good for a three-year-old child, and ONLY a three-year-old child!

We bought this directly from the retail Toys R Us store ($79.99). Our 3 and 5 year olds loved the store display model, so we were happy to get the last one. But, the night before the 3-year old's birthday party, we opened the box and tried to put it together. It had been previously returned, it was missing the instructions, the bag of small parts had been ripped into, and several pieces were missing. We now have to scramble to find something different. Shame on Toys R Us for re-selling items that are missing parts!!!
