This is a great pillow and sits you up high enough to take off any strain from your back when you meditate. It's firm but shapes to your body perfectly so sitting on it for long periods is comfortable. It seems well constructed, but if it falls apart in the next few weeks I'll let you know! The pillow IS the "plum" color and not the tan as seen in the photo.

It was too full for me so I emptied out some of the husks which was very easy to do. This ability to adjust it is a good feature.

Just a warning for people ordering from Canada, the price more than doubled after adding in all the shipping costs and conversion rate, but I couldn't find anything else like it so decided to swallow the extra cost. So far it has been worth the cost.

Very comfortable and sturdy. This has allowed me to sit for long periods of time without being uncomfortable. The only draw back is, if you're looking for something to take to class or a meditation center this will not travel well on the subway/light rail/bike, etc...as it is a bit heavy. But if you need something for home use, I highly recommend this!

I have ordered several of the Hugger Mugger props in the plum color: pillow, bolster, u-shaped pillow, and zafu. All are made exceptionally well with great craftsmanship. All seem to hold out well. Well worth the monetary investment. Highly recommend.

I bought this pillow with my social club's monthly Monday Night Pillow Fight in mind. Since I bought it I have secured my place as reigning champion, a title I believe I will keep for the foreseeable future. The pillow has a respectable weight to it, and the handle is as sturdy as could be, which frees up one hand to defend with and adds momentum to my swing. The stitching is also top-notch which means I can throw hay-makers all night long without having to worry about the integrity of my pillow. Thanks Hugger Mugger, for a tremendous product!
