My husband and I initially chose Huggies Pure and Natural because they had the least amount of potentially harmful chemicals. We've been using them since our 7 week old daughter came home from the hospital. They hold up very well and the only leaks we've had were mommy error. Couple tips for new parents: the leg elastic goes on the inside of the diaper and make sure there is a snug fit around the baby's leg. :-) Those diapers have gotten filled to the max with pee and poo with no leaks. Plus they are environmentally friendly. She used the newborn size for about one month (she was born at 6.5 lbs). Now at 7 weeks the size 1 is a perfect fit (she's about 10 lbs). We already have a couple boxes of the size 2 on standby. Definitely recommend these diapers.

These are the only diapers that don't give my kids rashes. Seriously, what the heck do they put in diapers? These are good. No rashes. And no, i don't let my kids sit in wet diapers. We change them often. We used to do washables, but our crappy hard water doesn't get them clean enough. These hold more pee than you'd think too. Some real camel reserves here. I accidentally washed one with some clothes once. They little clear jello stuff came off all the clothes with an extra wash. Yay! We get the next size up (my 16 month old is in 4s!, she's a chunck) and we NEVER have blow outs! Yay! No poop all up the back!

I love these!! I've been using a mix of disposables and cloth since my daughter was born. When my daughter was born we've been using Pampers and they were giving her rashes so we have switched to Huggies. I love that Huggies have the stretch at the back to help prevent poop-leaks. I try to buy things for my daughter as close to nature as possible. That is why we buy cloth and organic stuff (it might not be 'real organic' but better than non-organic processed foods). I've tried many different types of diapers, and few different Huggies brand. I love the Pure&Natural the best!

Material:
They are disposables so nothing much to be expected. From the outside they seem like any other disposables. It's more of knowing that they contain less harmful chemicals. They are pretty sturdy. Some disposables seem to easily rip if you pull a bit harder. These aren't that bad. There was a time where my husband ripped a piece off by accident because he didn't realize he was holding onto a piece. But hey, they're disposables! But, as disposables they are VERY VERY VERY SOFT! It's almost as if they're made mostly of cotton. They do actually fuzz up like a cotton tee shirt.

Design:
I like the simple design. No bright patterns that would peek through her clothes. I like that the most. I don't like her diapers to have fancy patterns that would show through her clothes. Doesn't seem appealing to me.

Leakage:
Seems good to me! We don't usually have any leakage when she has crazy poops. Unless they are REALLY LARGE amount. Then they would leak a little bit between her legs. But I think that's because my mom likes to put them loosely on her because it only happens to her. When we put it on her it doesn't happen.
My daughter sleeps a good 12-14 hours at night.

There are a lot of products out there for babies and everywhere you look on the internet there is something claiming this product is toxic, that product is a waste of money, that other one is dangerous. It's terribly overwhelming. While my child was in diapers I did my best to put her in one that had no dyes, no chemicals, no fragrances, etc. I know it's virtually impossible to get all of those things and still have a very effective product.

Still, after tons of reading and weighing the cost/effectiveness/peace of mind options, I settled on Huggies Pure and Natural. Did they meet my expectations? Yes. Did they leak sometimes? Of course. All diapers will leak, so don't let anyone tell you differently. Did they have some weird things about them? Yes, like, in spite of my almost paranoid desire to keep my kid's butt as dry as possible, which resulted in tons diaper changes per day, there often would be that weird gel-type stuff on her skin when I changed her. I'm going to reiterate that I would not let my kid sit in a wet diaper for long periods of time and this stuff was still on her skin sometimes. I'm not sure what that was about.

So now she's potty trained and I've cancelled my last Amazon Mom Subscription. It makes me a little sad, but I'll be happy not to have to shoulder the expense of diapers every day, week and month. Anyway, these did a good job. Give them a try and see if they work for you.

After going back to work, my family caregivers epically failing and almost destroying my cloth diapers, researching natural disposable diaper options, and realizing how NOT natural most of them really are--

Did you KNOW 7th Gen diapers are just PLASTIC that is DYED to look brown--

I settled on these for several months for my 5-7 month-old boy. I chose these purely because of the "touch" of organic cotton, lack of toxic chemical smell (Pampers swaddlers, I'm looking at you), and (I'll admit) the subdued winnie the pooh scenes on them, which are not cloying. In other words, I was incredibly forgiving and willing to put up with pretty much anything…

But this is ridiculous. 2 out of 3 of these diapers leak as if they aren't even on him. I will be holding him and feel the pee just soaking into my pants, down MY leg, and onto the couch. There have been days where I literally changed his outfit with every single diaper change. If I wear him in a sling, my clothes get drenched, and I can actually smell the pea. (I started putting his wool soakers on over it, to hold in the pea, until we use up the massive case I bought). And the irony is, when I change him, the diaper is BARELY WET! I'm not sure what the deal is. Perhaps its a quality control issue, but these are a dud.

For what it's worth, the Naty diapers have been the big winner at our house. They are made of paper and wood fiber, and smell like fresh sawdust, which is actually quite nice. They won't hold overnight, though. For that, we use the Huggies overnight diapers, and they hold reasonably well.
