Updating my review- it appears Huggies has brought back the previous design of diaper. Thank you Huggies!!! No more leaks.. Best overnight diaper on the market!

Previous review December 28, 2011

I have been a long time user of Huggies Overnites with both my children & very happy to have a night time diaper that kept baby dry, until my most recent shipment. The design of the diaper had changed, it now has a blue lining which used to be white and much much thinner then the past diaper. My child used to sleep soundly through the night until these diapers. He now wakes up every night soaked in urine.

The most shocking part of it all is Huggies had the nerve to increase the price and give you less diapers that are so cheap and no longer do the job of keeping baby dry. I need to find a new brand of night time diapers.

We are loyal Huggies diaper costumers and use to love the night diapers. However, they have changed the way they make them and now leak. DO NOT BUY THEM. I read other reviews and ignored them and I regret it.

What happened??!!! I discovered Huggies Overnight diapers with my first little one 4.5 years ago and I became a loyal customer after our first use when she slept through the night. I have been using them now with my second little one and was happy with them until this last shipment. When the new box arrived we noticed they had changed: My 4.5 year old was pleased the print had changed from Mickey Mouse to Winnie the Pooh. I noticed they felt much cheaper -- thinner and lacking the sturdiness of the originals. And indeed they are much cheaper. We are 3 for 3 on night time leaking. This means she wakes early in the morning, and I'm tired and doing extra loads of laundry to keep up with the wet PJs, sheets and blankets. I'm taking these off my Amazon Subscribe & Save list and calling Huggies (Kimberly Clark) tomorrow 1-800-665-9773. I suggest you consider doing the same.

I haven't had to change the baby's bedsheets overnight since we started using these. My only complaint is the same that I have with all Huggies diapers -- the tabs tend to rip off when being opened/pulled for securing closed. We've only wasted a few of the box and it's worth it. The ones that make it on baby's bottom do a great job!

If secured *too* tightly and filled to capacity with wetness, you are guaranteed to find those little gel blobs stuck to baby. I have a super-wetter and I find that I don't have any problem at all if the diaper isn't over-tight.

Not many people feel bad for you when your baby is sleeping so long overnight that s/he soaks through a diaper. Lol. These are the perfect solution for super soakers. We've used them with both our sons and couldn't be happier. No other diaper on the market (even doubled) has worked. These are a lifesaver for us. We have noticed no performance difference in the "new" Pooh design ones.

I am beginning to think that the diaper industry has just not figured out a way to make a diaper that had withstand 8-10 hours of wearing. My son is 12 months old and was using Pampers overnight diapers. Since we had several occasions where those leaked we decided to try something new. These Huggies have not appeared to work significantly better as I learned by my son waking up at 3am the other night because he has overflowed his diaper! So I guess we will just have to expect this as a regular outcome of these products. Hope the R&D department goes back to the drawing board and comes up with a better product!

I tried these as an overnight option because my 6 month old was leaking out of his Pampers Overnites quite often. I bought 1 size up from our normal daytime size because I read that can help. So far after 3 weeks, no leaks and he seems happy!

These diapers are exactly what are needed to get through the night without leaks. Holy cow they can hold a lot of pee. Our son likes to drink a lot before bedtime and these diapers stay leak-free for up to 12 hours for him. Yes they are quite big and bulky, but that doesn't really matter since he is going to be asleep for most of the time he is in them. For daytime use, I don't use Huggies. In fact, when I tried them out I had problems with leaks and blowouts. They just didn't work for us. The OverNights, however, shouldn't be compared to the regular daytime Huggies diapers. They are a totally different diaper. Yes they are a tad pricey, but when you are only using one a night, a case stretches quite a while. I totally think that a dry night is worth it. We have had no problems with rashes or with the diapers exploding those little absorbency beads everywhere.

I have a little girl and have tried Luv's, Pampers and now these. I do not like Luv's at all. They leaked all over the place, so I tried Pampers. I loved them. When she would wake up (after about 12 hours of sleep) her diaper would feel damp from the outside, but I didn't need to change sheets everyday. These were cheaper than the Pampers that I usually get, so I thought I would give them a try. I LOVE them. The diaper doesn't feel damp the next morning. It seems like they are much more absorbent. Will continue to use these diapers for her overnight needs.

Never had problems with normal Pampers diapers but thought maybe the baby would sleep better if the Huggies OverNites truly were more absorbent. Big mistake. These are complete nonfunctional garbage. Leak a ton every time when we haven't a leak in months and months. Stay far away.
