I just got this CD at his concert. This is one FINE CD for your jazz collection. His vocals are elegant, and his sax is fabulous. Every cut on this CD is one you will appreciate. The quality of this CD is excellent. The only thing this CD will leave you wanting is another CD by this giant of jazz, Hugh Whalum.

Where have you *been* Hugh "Peanuts" Whalum?! This is a great CD. The song selections are refreshingly NOT the jazz standards you normally hear. They are better. The production quality is excellent. Peanuts' voice is perfect for this kind of music. Clear, understandable phrasing and tone. Believe me when I say that after you listen to this, you will be wanting more. This is a must for a jazz collector. Peanuts is pure jazz royalty.

Peanuts Whalem is a master of song, and this CD highlights his elegant and smooth style to a "t". He doesn't just sing...he revels in the notes...the way the music takes him along and let's him enjoy it along with your the listener. Of course, add the sax to the mix, and you have perfection. Hurry up and make another CD, because its what the world needs!
