Its the best ever
This is a very nice addition to my collection , but after seeing what this is capable of I threw out all of my others. I think that one should invest in this fine piece of technology.

About as basic as you can get...
The Hughes HIRD-E11 DirecTV receiver is about as basic as you can get. It is extremely limited with only a 36-hour program guide and it is very difficult for anyone who wants to record a number of different series every week. You must remember to set your VCR to tape off the receiver PLUS remember to set the program guide so the VCR will record the right channel. If you...

The Hughes HIRD-E11 DirecTV receiver is about as basic as you can get. It is extremely limited with only a 36-hour program guide and it is very difficult for anyone who wants to record a number of different series every week. You must remember to set your VCR to tape off the receiver PLUS remember to set the program guide so the VCR will record the right channel.If you order DirecTV from a local provider and they give you this box, ask if they can do better with one that has more functionality.
