This book was one of the best gifts I was given upon the birth of our daughter a little over a year ago. It combines prayer, scripture and uplifting stories in a compact form. (Being a "quick" read is a must for new moms!) I found it to be a source of inspiration when I felt overwhelmed and comfort when I felt anxious. This book helped me to pray in a meaningful way in a time when I needed it the most...and felt the least like I had time to do it.
I highly reccomend that amidst the flurry of stuffed animals and tiny outfits for the new baby, you give this book (and maybe some nice shower gel and fuzzy slippers!) to the new mom. If she's anything like me, she'll always appreciate it and never forget it!

This is a sweet book for new and expectant mothers (either for birth or adoption). The format is simple: each chapter (which is only a few pages long) begins with Bible passages related to motherhood, an inspirational message to the woman reading the book, a quote, and then a short story that gives short snippets about a situation with a family and God (e.g. a woman trying to get pregnant and has prayers answered by her adopting children, and a new mother seeking advice from her mother-in-law).
This is a really good book for expectant and new mothers. It's a quick read (done in 1 sitting), and has some moments where it tugs on your heartstrings. My wife and I both loved it. For guys looking to get a book for your wives for Mother's Day or for Christmas (as I have), I would highly recommend it.
