I loved the book, Hugs, Hope, and Peanut Butter! It's full of inspiring stories interwoven with gospel truths. Only an idiot with no heart would give this book a poor rating!!! Marsha Jordan is a wonderful writer with a great sense of humor!

Hugs Hope and Peanut Butter is a special book, illustrated by some VERY special children and written by a very special lady. Just reading a page or two at a time makes me smile. Thanks to the children for touching my life with the illustrations.

This book is filled with one extraordinary Christian woman's essays of everyday life/dramas written while courageously rising above many hardships to become a way better, more fulfilled person. These encouraging, inspirational, humorous essays will brighten your day and uplift your spirit. Marsha is the creator of the Hugs and Hope Foundation for critically ill children (www.hugs andhope.org). This book is illustrated by the children featured on her website. All proceeds from this book benefit the Hugs and Hope families.

Makes My Mom Smile,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter (Paperback)
This book is COOL! I drew pictures for Ms. Marsha's book. Hugs and Hope has been so nice to me. My Mom smiles when she reads it, and if it makes her happy, it must be an awesome book!

Living Thru Life's Adversities and Keeping Your Sense of Humor,
By
This review is from: Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter (Paperback)
This is a book most women can relate to. The goal is to show that one can live through life's adversities with laughter, and continue to live in the Spirit. Reading a chapter each night leaves you with a chuckle or a smile on your face. The book stands alone on its content, but the artwork has a special place in my heart, as my child is one of the artists.

I have read this book and I think it is great! It is funny and as you read the stories you can see some of yourself in most all of them. It is well written. The pictures by the club kids are great! I would definitly recommend it to everyone.

Laugh and wisdom,
By Adriana (NY, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter (Paperback)
I'm not a person that laughs easily at written jokes, so my first though before read the book was "I'm sure I won't laugh out loud as some reviews I read said" but I found myself laughing in the introduction. The book is full of funny stories and uplifting comments about God and the christian life always with a Bible verse that perfectly compliments them.
Marsha shares the lessons she learned from every day moments. I can't believe the person that said that her money was wasted. Even if she don't have the same sense of humor, they money goes to a foundation that helps critical ill children... how can that ever be a waste?

A selfless endeavor that meets the mark!,
This review is from: Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter (Paperback)
Marsha asked me to review the manuscript before it was published. Not only was I doubled over in laughter, especially when it came to stories about her dog, Louie, but I found my own convictions strengthened by her ability to tie the laughs in with Christian truth.
My own daughter (4-years old) suffers from Batten Disease. To be blunt, she's dying. She can't speak. She can no longer walk, eat or drink without our assistance and will need a feeding tube by the end of this year. She will lose her sight and will steadily be consumed by a hellish disease for which there is no cure. I can't put a price on the support and prayers from The Hugs and Hope Club, founded by Marsha Jordan, and I am more than happy to give the proceeds from MY book to the group as well...which, if you didn't know, is on a mission to bring smiles to critically ill children and their families. And that is what "Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter" is about. Marsha didn't write this book to impress anyone, and perhaps not even to entertain. She wrote this for the kids. This club and the book exist because Marsha took her own personal suffering and instead of allowing it to make her bitter, she is reaching out to others and making a REAL difference. That truth alone is mightily evident in the book and terribly hard to for the reader to miss, though not impossible to ignore if one chooses. Proceeds from her book benefit the Club's kids and their families. She is a faithful Christian woman with a heart of gold that is using her talent--and YES, she does have quite a talent--to help those who are suffering, as she and the Hugs and Hope children are with their illnesses. Like Christ, which is what all Christians are called to be like, Marsha helps readers find REDEMPTION in their suffering and she does it with her ample God-given gift for mirth. May the Holy Spirit open the hearts of those who read "Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter." Here is my review of the book (as I was honored to be asked to read the manuscript before publication) and I stand by it. "Marsha Jordan writes with purpose and conviction and an unfailing sense of humor. You'll soon be laughing out loud and won't want to put this book down! Be prepared to come away with a great sense of hope and quite possibly the same sense of joy and conviction that Jordan shares with every story. A very timely book from a very gifted Christian writer." -Lisa Barker, mother of five, author of "Just Because Your Kids Drive You Insane...Doesn't Mean You Are A Bad Parent!" and award-winning syndicated columnist of the laugh-out-loud column "Jelly Mom."

Full of Hope in the Midst of Difficulties,
By
This review is from: Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter (Paperback)
Marsha Mott Jordan doesn't pull any punches with her faith or with the difficulties she's been through. That's what makes Hugs, Hope and Peanut Butter such a joy to read. It's full of honesty, humor and (as the title states) hope. I especially appreciated her frank words about depression and fatigue. And her stories about the quirks and chaos of everyday life made me laugh out loud. Whether you buy it to keep or to give away (actually, buy two and do both!), you'll be inspired, encouraged and uplifted by the essays in this book.
