5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent resource to understand emotional eating, June 17, 1999
This review is from: Hugs from the Refrigerator (Paperback)
I, like millions of people, have read many books on weight loss and dieting. This book, however, focuses on the "over weight personality". What makes us continue to make poor choices and how to honestly examine your own root causes. It actually took me months to read because after each chapter, I would put the book down for a week or so just to process the information. It hit me right betweent the eyes. The most important message is you must address the issues that have contributed to your lifestyle before any permanent weight loss will occur. I would relate it to how the book, "The Courage to Heal" has assisted sexual abuse survivors. Very encouraging and empowering!
