Zwingli's defence of the Reformation in a poor binding,
By
This review is from: Huldrych Zwingli Writings, Vol One: The Defense of the Reformed Faith (Pittsburgh Theological Monographs) (Paperback)
This volume contains Zwingli's defence of his views on the Reformation. While the content is what one would expect of Zwingli: a consistent denial of the Real Presence in the Eucharist, an egalitarian approach to Church government and the view that human law is of no value to those who have the Holy Spirit, the presentation leaves a great deal to be desired. The typeface looks like it comes from a typewriter, and the binding is so flimsy that Amazon rejected the first copy it received, and only sent the second when it became clear that the whole print run was bound this way. Those who have sympathy with Zwingli's views are likely to enjoy this work more than I did.

This review is from: Huldrych Zwingli Writings, Vol One: The Defense of the Reformed Faith (Pittsburgh Theological Monographs) (Paperback)
The first work of Reformed dogmatics by a much maligned but very important figure in the history of the European Reformations.
