5.0 out of 5 stars Stunningly good performances from 1965 and 1966, September 27, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Hullabaloo 2 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The first half of this tape is from a show from 1965 and hosted by Micheal Landon. He does a good job with his duties as host. The best part of this half of the video is the performance by the Byrds. The second half of this video is hosted by Gary Lewis and his Playboys. The acts include Aretha Franklin with her first television performance of "Message to Michael." It is great, as are the songs performed my The Mamas and the Pappas, Noel Harrison, Bobby Rydell, and Gary Lewis and his Playboys. A great treat is at the end of the tape when the bonus songs come. You get to see The Moody Blues perform "Go Now" from Hulaballoo London, and the last three acts are very fine, by The Marvelettes, The Turtles, and The Animals. A great video and a must for any lover of music from that era.
