Book Description

Consciousness Classics April 1, 2008
Initiated by the question Why do we need to have a body to do spiritual work?, this collection of ideas and hypotheses, which grew from a conversation in a coffee-shop, discusses the body's essential role in personal transformation and spiritual development. The crucial observation that the "body-mind" must act as an ally and collaborator in human consciousness—or essence growth—is rounded out by actual experiments meant to demonstrate the highlighted concepts. This new edition includes chapter commentaries by students and practitioners who have used the suggested techniques, and features a new introduction by the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS THE BOOK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE, January 24, 2007
This review is from: The Human Biological Machine as a Transformational Apparatus: Talks on Transformational Psychology (Consciousness Classics) (Paperback)
THIS IS THE BOOK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE--Being one of the few seekers in this particular experience of what we collectively call "Life", existing with the terminal dis-ease of the question--What am I here for?
This book put me on the path for which I am eternally grateful.
Human Beings of planet earth if you want to try being more than a monkey in clothing, this is a good place to begin. It will opened for me a new way to live. A way to use my natural talents to a higher advantage.
I have read a number of books by this same author since reading this book and I highly recommend all of them, although most of them take more study than simpy reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inside Track Party Book Circle Selection, June 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Human Biological Machine as a Transformational Apparatus: Talks on Transformational Psychology (Consciousness Classics) (Paperback)
Wandering Houston's Montrose district one day, this book called to me.

Randomly selecting a house... walking up to the door... there was a small sign about a Metaphysical bookstore inside. Entering, a box to my left called to me.

In the discounted book stack was a pristine copy of HBM for 25 cents.

Devouring paragraphs gave way to chapters. Each new concept was a Matrix Red Pill.

After studying this book for years, I quietly arranged to travel and end up in a room with the author for a weekend. Intriguing fellow.

You might enjoy this book if you cheered (out loud) for Neo to take the Matrix Red Pill.

This book is best read with a Tribe, like we're doing @ Inside Track Party. Read + Experiment.

As you explore HBM, do be in touch with me as I'd love to hear your experiences.

- David
