The best book on Neuroanatomy,
By
This review is from: Human Central Nervous System: A Synopsis and Atlas (Paperback)
This book has been written by two Dutch Neurologists and the illustrator. The content of the written text is absolutely phenomenal. It is clear, to the point and most of the times gives a clear explanation on "how the brain works".The illustrations are, in my modest opinion, as clear as the ones drawn by Netter (believe me). This is an excellent book for any medical student interested in Neuroanatomy, any Neurosurgeon and Neurologist (in-training) studying for his/her boards. I highly recommend it.

This review is from: The Human Central Nervous System: A Synopsis and Atlas (Hardcover)
This one had been difficult to get hold of for a whle and was also slightly in need of an update. However the authors have done a splendid job at re-working this classic book on neuroanatomy, It is absolutely indispensable to understand the organization of the CNS. It has been expanded and it is not too expensive.

This review is from: The Human Central Nervous System: A Synopsis and Atlas (Hardcover)
This book is an up to date review of anatomy and related
biochemistry and physiology of the central nervous system. Indeed, it was the first textbook to show the association of neurotransmitters to nuclei in the brain stem. Extremely useful illustrations. Easy readable. Highly recomended.

I have reviewed many neuroanatomy texts including works by Patten, Nolte, and Haines but this books takes it to another level. Beautifully written. Amazing diagrams. Bring its all together in one refined textbook. Highly recommended.
