4.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced, July 5, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: The Human Cost of a Management Failure: Organizational Downsizing at General Hospital (Hardcover)
The book does address significant managerial errors in judgment. However, the book actually draws attention to ethical reasoning in psychoanalytic terms and concepts. Principals, precepts, and concepts are really old issues brought back from the 1990's into the here and now of 2004. These errors in judgment are perpetuated from generation to generation. Little has changed in the eight years since the book was published, especially in some medical institutions and in universities that host medical training programs. The ethical questions continue to be unaddressed and the consequential conflicts unresolved.
