5.0 out of 5 stars The how to of Social Revolutionary Warfare., May 16, 2009
This review is from: Human Factors Considerations of Undergrounds in Insurgencies (Paperback)
This is the definitive study of how to conduct Social Revolutionary Warfare and also Counter Insurgency (Called Foreign Internal Defense by the U.S. Military). The Revolutionary leadership uses calculated violence and terrorism as one of many tools to bring about "Change". Military Operations are an adjunct fuction in the battle to remake societies. This book contains the nuts and bolts aspects of Undergrounds Development and Operations. The book was written at the beginning of the Viet Cong's incipient phase/start of large scale American involvement of the Vietnam War by the Special Operations Research Office, under contract to the CIA. It contains several case studies of underground insurgencies and their historical development dating back to World War Two. The focus of studies deals with several insurgencies throughout the 40's, 50's and early sixties. I also recommend the great Saul Alinsky's, "Rules For radicals" to gain understanding in the current Social Revolutionary (Liberal Colliectivist) movement's assent to power through the Fabian Socialist model here in the United States.
