Interesting Text!,

I was surprised that I found this text so interesting! I've since dropped the course due to personal issues this semester, but I still find myself reading through the text. Not only does it provide you with the facts you need to develop a basic grasp of genetics, but it also supplements the facts with moral questions and debates. There is no "right" or "wrong" answer to these moral questions, and it got the online class actively debating. There is something to be said for a text that sparks active debates amongst students who aren't even required to post on a given topic!

This book explains human genetics that anyone can understand. It has real life cases that mirror what people actually go through when they are faced with genetic problems.

Already publishing a new edition, I see,

This review is from: Human Genetics and Society (Paperback)
First, this little, thin paperback text book most certainly is not worth the big price tag on it. Second, the first edition was just published in September 25, 2008. Now, the author is publishing a second edition with an estimated published date of 09/30/2011. Most 16-week classes start in late August, not near 09/30/2011. I suggest you wait until they published this second edition before buying.

The textbook is in great condition, as good as a brand new book but cost so much less! Great seller, thank you so much for the honesty! I will definitely purchase my other textbooks from Amazon.com in the future.
