4.0 out of 5 stars Gary puts his heart into it again., October 6, 2000

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Human Love (Audio CD)
As an avid fan of Gary Wright and his music from day 1, I relish anything new from this artist. Unlike some of his earlier stuff which appealed to the synth-pop fringe, Human Love follows a tact of bringing an amalgam of natural and synthetic timbres also mixed in with differing musical styles. The polish is a bright upbeat mix with something for most everyone's taste. There are two songs from the early '70's here which have been redone in contemporary fashion. Although none of the songs stand out as much as Dream Weaver still does, it is worth the investment if you like to listen to mellower pop with ethnic flavors. This album is a part of a new venture by Wright called Larkio music. I look forward to more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gary Wright is back!, December 1, 1999
This review is from: Human Love (Audio CD)
The Human Love album is to me one of his best efforts ever. His voice is as powerful as ever and the musical direction heads back to his early rock days with a new world music flavor. I love this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid effort from a more reflective perspective, November 23, 2002
This review is from: Human Love (Audio CD)
Gary Wright has always pretty much been a more reflective performer and this CD continues in that tradition. "Human Love" has a more involved influence of his interest in eastern music and cultures. It works to provide a more mellow and thoughtful disc for those looking to relax and gently ponder ideas with music that soothes the mind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Human Love is one of his strongest yet, April 1, 2000
This review is from: Human Love (Audio CD)
When I first listened to the Human Love CD I was disappointed. I thought, "this doesn't sound like Gary Wright." Then I listened to it again. And again. I found I couldn't stop listening to it. There are so many good tracks here...Flame in the Snow is one of my favorites now. The two remakes, Wildfire and Wrong Time, are very well done and fresh. I pulled the original albums to compare them and found I like the new versions as much as as the originals. Gary deserves a lot of credit and airplay. He's shown me once again why I've been a fan for over 20 years.
