It is very interactive and easily understood. I did not have to rush for a dictionary to get the gist which is very important for a non-medically inclined individual like myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Textbook for Reference September 13, 2013

As the author of Bless the Bees: The Pending Extinction of our Pollinators and What We Can Do to Stop It I delved into GMOs that produce their own insecticide and the possible effects on humans. So, I wanted something that would help me understand more about cell structure and function. This book is a very good comprehensive reference.

I have downloaded several Boundless guides as they advertise on Amazon.com that they are Kindle compatible. Well not at all. The books were downloaded into my Archived Items (that took a while to realise) and then when I try to open the book there is a message stating 'Unavailable for Download. The item is not compatible with this device'. Wow, what a revelation, because I'm reading it right now on my Kindle for PC. Not impressed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good basic information. June 28, 2014

Good basic information. I don't use it as much as I thought I might because I would really rather have more pictures than just words. I haven't deleted it because I still have plenty of memory on my device and might use it once in a while when I can't run a quick web-search.
