4.0 out of 5 stars Great musicians. Witty lyrics. Whatever happened to them?, May 9, 2003

I discovered these guys back in 1992 in my sister's junk pile of tapes, among other unknown artists, back when she worked for a music/video distribution company. 'Me & Elvis' is the first track, which caught my attention right off the bat. In following with the whole 'Elvis-faked-his-death' thing, this song talks of how they hung out together up to the time when Elvis supposedly fakes his death. 'Hole In My Head' is a nice song about how typically childish men can be in relationships. But my favorite song is 'These Are The Days' with it's upbeat, if rather cynical, view of life. All in all, it's worth owning because these guys are great musicians who, as you'll find out if you listen to the CD, have diverse musical influences. By the way, I found the CD version years later at a flea market and bought it right away.

5.0 out of 5 stars Overtly Human Radio, September 26, 2003

When I first heard this CD 10 years or so ago I immediately recorded it on Cassette for Auto listening. For a pop music band they were the most inventive and progressive band I heard at the time. Almost every song is an absolute gem. I always got excited telling all my close friends about it with words that fell on deaf ears. Finally a local record store found a copy (LP) which was in mint condition, he remembered my request after 8 years. I tried to find it previously on line with no results or near misses. I now have it on two formats, and now that I found this site I will be getting a copy for my CD player. This is a must have. Written almost in the style of the late Kevin Gilbert (Toy Matinee, Giraff). I cannot recommend it enough. The other reviews will tell you about the individual songs, but until you actually hear it, you've been deprived!
