The reviews of the first draft of the proposal criticised the book for not having a unique selling point in a crowded market. The original author brought in two other co-authors and they have completely reconceived the book and I am happy that they have addressed the key points.
I think there is a space in the market for a really innovative text that looks at people, work and educational organisations. I have no doubt that Bernard could and should write such a text. At the moment the proposal does not deliver on what the field and practitioners need to move our thinking forward. Helen Gunter, University of Birmingham, UK
Generally, this proposal should be encouraged, but needs focus, depth and a unique selling point. The author should be encouraged to re work it with this in mind. Megan Crawford
