5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent small business resource, May 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Human Resources (Barron's Business Library) (Paperback)
I found this book to be an excellent resource for my small business. It summarizes all of the relevant HR issues for any business, allowing me to choose which ones I need to address in my business. The book includes example forms and policies and even summarizes legal cases relevant to the HR issue being discussed. It has been a valuable resource for me ever since I bought it.

This review is from: Human Resources (Barron's Business Library) (Paperback)
I purchased this book hoping it would provide insight into human resources issues that occur when running a business. Unfortunately, it doesn't. It offers little or no "how-to" or useful information.

Renckly's book does provide very basic information, but offers very little that is compelling or informative. In most cases, it simply rehashes common sense.

The most useful portion of the book details what front line managers SHOULD NOT ask in a hiring interview.
