I had to use this textbook when I took Dr King's Psychology class at the University of New Orleans (Spring '06). I found it to be a very informative eye-opener. Dr King presents information in a clear, concise, just-the-facts way, yet it doesn't read like a 'boring old textbook.' The information really makes the reader think twice about the West's cultural, historical, and scientific perspectives on the nature of sexuality.

Read this book, for a class or personal education or whatever reason. At the very least you'll come out with some interesting facts about human behavior, but more likely you'll change your entire perspective on human sexual behavior.

Dr. King's human sexuality texts (any of the editions) are very good learning tools. They're very no nonsense and easy to understand, some things it it are very alarming to say the least, there's graphic pictures of STDs, some of the material can be disturbing as the book does review fetishes and sexual abuse cases. I had taken Dr. King's class the semester before he retired. I was rather inspired to direct my path towards sex therapy after taking his class. thanks dr king!

I used this text while taking a college course with the author. If you have a pre-teen or teen-aged child, this book will make an invaluable aid when educating them. It isn't just helpful for discussing sex. It is also a great source of information on the human body. You can direct your teen to read a chapter and then come together and discuss the questions at the end of each chapter that help facilitate conversations about the information. The chapters "Communicating About Sex" and "Sexual Victimization: Rape, Coercion, Harassment, and Abuse of Children" are especially outstanding.

I had the pleasure of taking this class with Dr. King as an undergraduate and now use this text when teaching my own college course in sexual behavior. Dr. King's relaxed yet informative writing style make's it one of the few textbooks my student's don't seem to mind reading. It has a wealth of good information for anyone wanting to learn more about sexuality and sexual behavior.

Written in a not overly technical but informative way, Bruce King's Human Sexuality 7th Edition was the book we used in class. I can honestly say that I had Bruce King show me the ropes.

Such a good read and so interesting. Helped me out a lot with my class. But the funny thing is, is that there are SO MANY TYPOS and errors in this textbook! It made me laugh because of how many I found!

This book is quite good, covers a lot of pertinent material relevant to Human Sexuality.

The information is presented in a student-friendly manner and is a very interesting read, especially for those interested in the topic of Human Sexuality.

I really liked this textbook is was easy to read and very interesting information that you wouldnt even think about. I really do recommend that you buy this textbook either because you needed for or just for personal reading. =)

This book was needed for a class however I actually found this textbook to be an easy read the information is not only informative but I causes you to think as well!
