4.0 out of 5 stars The Kung-Fu is worth the purchase price alone!!!
Don't believe the fools who doubt Rudy Ray Moore!!! How can people look at the Dolemite movies seriously? The opening credits are printed on his GIANT JAMES-BROWN-STYLE CAPE!! You'll never enjoy the sensory overload and outright absurdity of these movies if you try to THINK about them. Just have a six-pack and a few smart-mouthed friends around when you watch it...

2.0 out of 5 stars Watch out!!! This DVD edited. Many scenes missing.
Even though The Human Tornado is undoubtedly Rudy Ray Moore's Citizen Kain, this DVD is completely butchered. Xenon's DVD is missing more then 10 minutes of footage, most of which are some of the funniest gags in the entire film. Unfortantly, there is no other way to get the complete film unless you can find a copy at your local video store that is at least 15...

Even though The Human Tornado is undoubtedly Rudy Ray Moore's Citizen Kain, this DVD is completely butchered. Xenon's DVD is missing more then 10 minutes of footage, most of which are some of the funniest gags in the entire film. Unfortantly, there is no other way to get the complete film unless you can find a copy at your local video store that is at least 15 years old, before Xenon edited the hell out of the film. Either way, the transfer and sound on this DVD is beautiful and crisp and the menus are funny and inventive. If you have to buy any copy, buy this one but write Xenon and demand an unedited verson be put out in the future, this time with a commentary track from Rudy Ray Moore.

3.0 out of 5 stars So Bad, It's Good., August 1, 2004

If you're in need of some good laughs and are willing to overlook poor dialogue, an even worse plot and shoddy camera work, this is your movie.

I fell out of my chair laughing at some of the scenes in this movie - the opening scene where Dolemite dives head first down the side of a hill butt naked is classic! This is Rudy Ray Moore at his best.

The plot makes little sense but who cares. If you've seen the MadTV spoofs then and see this movie, you will realize they were dead on!!

Bottom line, if you're looking for fine art, don't bother. If you're looking for cheap laughs and non-PC humor, this is your flick.

Nothing beats Dolemite's , jokin', hustlin' kung-fu ways. NOTHING!!! Step off, Batman!!!

I quote the man himself when I say: "Man, move over and let me pass, 'fore they has to be pullin' these Hush-Puppies out your ...!!"

My brother MADE me watch this, and I'm a changed man.

5.0 out of 5 stars "I Got Cho' Boy Hangin', You Rat-Soup Eating Honky Motha...", July 17, 1999

Boy, oh boy oh boy! And you thought Dolemite was bad! Well, when I first saw Ray Ray jump off the hill nude I nearly collapsed. I tell ya' there's no way to even begin to describe this movie. All of my friends have seen it, and they feel the same way too. And the sheriff.....that unforgetable laugh! And of course, the love scenes "Where's Cavoletti Hiding My Girls" indeed! The freaking ceiling falls down on them for crying out loud! And who could forget that beautiful soundtrack? Well, it's like Mr. Rudy Ray Moore said "I wanted the Dolemite movies to be action packed, sensational, and sexsational as well." Oh and by the way this is the funniest movie of any time period from the day it was made till the end of humanity, nothing will ever surpass "Dolemite II: The Human Tornado".

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY THE RECOGNITION THAT YOU DESERVE!, July 30, 1999
By A Customer
Well well. I was have heard about Dolemite all of my life and i'm 26. My Grandparents used to listen to Rudy Ray Moore and Jimmy Lynch. So I have always known about Mr. Dolemite. When I First saw 'Pete Wheatstraw' in 1989 I was hooked! But no one else around me, except my family, had heard about or knew of DOLEMITE or Rudy Ray Moore. Well i am filled with joy and kindship for the people who participate in this site and watch and Make others watch his films. It's taken 10years for people to come to the table and learn who this man is and why he is funny. Deliver....Delivery is everything. This is why so many rapper and THe Big Daddy Kane want to imitate Mr. Dolemite...the Attitude and Delivery. i attempt to live my life in the same vain as Mr. Dolemite's motto...which I have modified for my own purposes..."I'm going to be the very best of What I am and for those of you who don't like it, confidentially i don't give a damn. Because I would rather be hated for what I am rather than loved for what I am not!" in a nutshell.."F@#! you Mannnn!!! I hope one day to meet Mr. Rudy Ray Moore and let him know how he he changed my outlook on life and my self-esteem...I got through high school and college and Graduate school because of Our 'Motto.' People draw inspiration from the strangest places, but I thank Dolemite for sparking that self-confidence in me. I tell people who my hero's are...My Grandmother, My aunt, James Brown, Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr., Malcom X, Harriett Tubman and Dolemite! Thank you Terence Knox TerencNox@aol.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Heaping Helpings of Kung Fu and Rudy Ray's Hinder, April 20, 2000
Well, this is possibly the most amusing of the entire Dolemite series. The Kung Fu, notable for the....ummmmmm...somewhat unusual Rudy Ray provided sound effects is to be savored. My personal favorite scene involves Rudy Ray, a nymphomaniacial mobster wife and a collapsing ceiling. The only drawback is the recurrent theme of Dolemite's exposed, saucy, buttocks. Cannot be beat for this genre.

2.0 out of 5 stars This is a edited version of the film!, August 20, 1999
This review is from: The Human Tornado (DVD)
This version is missing some scenes from the Video release, as well as the theatre release. It also has seveal scenes moved around. if you dont believe me, go rent the video copy! You are missing a funny sequence with a gay driver who picks up dolemite and the gang on their way to California! Its in the video version, but missing in the DVD copy. Also certain scenes involving miss Cavarelli and the infamous ladies room scene is moved to a differnt section. This isnt the first time Xenon DVD did this to their release, so beware when buying!

5.0 out of 5 stars best comedy ever!, September 2, 1999
By
This review is from: Human Tornado [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Rudy Ray Moore at his best. If you have any idea of how a comedy should be written and acted than you will love this film. A true look at the 70's blacksploitation genre. Go Dolemite. Dolemite for president!

Although the characters in this movie and other Dolemite movies
are a little rusty with their acting, I can't help but watch
these movies over and over again. The movie hits with the
rest of the top-rated movies of that era.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's a great film, May 12, 1999

I love the Dolemite movies, which is quite possibly the greatest duo of films ever made. I'll never in my life forget the kung-fu action scenes and a naked Rudy Ray Moore rolling down a grassy hill in "The Human Tornado." These movies should be viewed every man, woman and child to walk the earth...they are truly an experience like no other.
