I needed this chair, I wanted this chair.

It was delivered perfectly in just a couple of days in perfect condition.

The leather while not a fine grade will do just fine and I'm sure will offer years of low maintenance use.

So what's the problem.

I'm a software engineer so after fumbling about a bit I invited my neighbor who can assemble *ANYTHING".

We got it 'somewhat' together although it doesn't appear that are mates to most of the Velcro tabs; the two major pieces don't really appear to be seated; and the headrest refuses to hold an adjustment.

The people at the BackStore gave me the number of the people at HumanTouch. After some hunting around they emailed me the instructions that we're pretty much what I received in the container. No luck.

I told the guy at HumanTouch that .. Hey ... all I want to do is get it working right and I'd be willing to pay for someone to come out and do the job right. He indicated that I'd probably wouldn't want to do that since the minimum charge was some $250.

I probably wouldn't have winced at $125 but this is ridiculous.

On small change stuff I have a long history of just swallowing the deal. Not this time. Tomorrow, I start running the traps to return this product that is either mis-manufactured or simply missing a 5 minute youTube assembly video.

This represents probably the only 2 star review I've ever written on in all my years with Amazon.

Tomorrow, I guess I start going through the world of hurt that will be involved in returning this almost 'Perfect Chair'. Too bad.

Regards,

cb

I bought one of these from another store, and I'm on my second chair, which again, just broke another spring.

They are super comfortable, and I'm not sure what to do now. But I wont buy another one.

I own the Human Touch "Perfect Chair". The seat of the chair is made of 5 or 6 thin horizontal s-curving metal rods bowed upward to suspend the seat cushion via anchoring to a slightly narrower vertical framework. Ironically gravity is guaranteed to ware these down over a short period of time as the chair is used. These rods are only suspended and are not supported. This may be a sufficient design if the chair was reclined 100% of the time but I would guess, like me, many will use this chair often seated upright. While upright the calf/foot rest does not tuck under the chair sufficiently in order to allow the user to back-up to the chair for a gentle seating and often causes a more forceful seating. When your s-curving metal rods break, and they will, your retailer will disown you as the relationship between Human Touch and the retailer does not provide for adequate customer service from the retailer. Since the chair is so expensive retailer inventory is refreshed 3 or 4 chairs at a time and not before that and thus they have no inventory. Meaning you are likely to need a new chair shipped to you by Human Touch. Ok, no big deal. Except Human Touch is too concerned with bragging of the millions of dollars they've spend on design and the fact that professional athletes love the chair to care about customers in general. To make your whole again, even under warranty, you will pay more than $400.00 to have a new chair shipped and set-up in your home. That is more than 20% of the original exorbitant price of the chair that you will pay for Human Touch's POOR chair design. This is a horribly inadequate business plan with no focus on customer satisfaction whatsoever. The chair is adequately comfortable but the company is misguided and arrogant. For the price I would NOT purchase this again and would urgently recommend you research alternative chairs. PS, if you have kids DO NOT purchase this chair!! Children will destroy its fragile design.

We have two! They were delivered FREE within a few days! The leather is a nice grade. The color red is a nice red, not too bright. The manual recline is good as no mechanical parts to break. The comfort is PERFECT! And these chairs are 1/2 price at $999! You can't beat it! I was disappointed they are made in Taiwan. They appear to be well-made and arrived in three pieces; very easy and quick to put together. I had severe back pain which I believe originated from my back. My expensive leather sectional has no support! This is the fix!

The ABSOLUTE worst piece of furniture I have ever bought. The ABSOLUTE worst customer service I have ever experienced. I bought their zero gravity LEATHER SUPPOSEDLY Chair and within 5 years it is Deteriorating rapidly. I have no children jumping on the chair and I have other leather couches and sofa's more than 15 years old with no signs of wear. STAY AWAY, they don't care as long as it gets past their 90 day warranty. 90 day? what was I thinking. STAY AWAY.

The angle between the seat and the back is not adjustable and is at a recline at all times, which is to say, you cannot sit upright in this chair. It is only comfortable when it is reclined at least 2/3 of the way, and not being able to adjust the seat angle makes it uncomfortable for some people with low back problems. If you buy the laptop desk for it, you will not be able to recline much as the desk is too low to allow full recline. All in all, I regret purchasing the chair. I have found it very hard to live with and will be replacing it with another style of recliner soon.
Also watch out for salespeople saying it is leather, when it may actually be bonded leather which is not leather at all. Very deceptive to name a synthetic bonded leather. The salespeople are fooled by it, so they are very sincere when they make a fool out of you too.
