Killer Song from the Killers,
By Evil men have no music (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews

A Great driving beat, gets to you and brings you along in this journey into "human" behavior. If you don't know or understand the lyrics, I can't help you. It goes much deeper than the surface.

The Answer Is ...,

The question is (of course) "Are we human or ...".The first time I really listened to the song, (a) I played it about ten times in a row, (b) every time I played it I could hardly keep from weeping, and (c) I immediately thought of Jackson Brown's "For A Dancer". Please listen to that song in conjunction with this one (the version on the album Western Wall by Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris blows me away). So, the answer. When we are born, we are human. When we die we are dancer. And in between we may be either, both, or neither, depending on who we are, what we have become.

My Favorite Killers Song,
This review is from: Human (MP3 Download)
I've always been a huge fan of The Killers, but Human is the song that really made me love them. It's incredible song, with insightful and meaningful lyrics. We need more songs like these in modern music

Are We Human or Are We Dancer?--4 1/2 Stars,

"Human" is the latest single release from The Killers. The song has a driving beat, a melody with a retro-70s feel, and lyrics that have several layers of meaning. Listening to the song for the first time a person might get the impression that "Human" is a fun song with a nonsensical melody that's got a great rhythm to dance to. However, there is much more to the song and it touches closer to the soul than a typical pop song. Not only that, but the chorus of the song was inspired by a quote from Hunter S. Thompson. Not bad for a four-minute ditty recorded in one night.

Day & Age is just great! All the songs on this album are worth listening and at least for me... everytime there's a new album from The Killers I first get to think it won't be as good as the previous one but once you listen to it 3 times you notice it is as good or even better!

You get what you expect from this band. Certainly not early REM but solid.

"Am I human?",

The Killers' latest hit,"Human",evokes the bygone disco days. One can imagine the spinning mirrorball, the Afros, the cheesy disaster movies. While Battlestar Galactica fans are wondering who's a Cylon and who's not,The Killers sing about the meaning of being human. There's an innocent joy to it. Am I human,or am I dancer?
